I'm sorry, that's the dumbest thing I've ever read.

Lower your expectations, so that when the subpar premier inevitably comes along, you are not dissappointed. That's a terrible use of reverse psychology.

I say:

Raise your expectations, so that when they, them, the writers and producers let you (plural) down, you create such a stink, that they can do nothing, but make the show live up to your standards.
Do you think that tactic would work for disappointing films too?

Well with this TV show, you have to lower your expectations.

They obviously didn't learn from their mistakes in season 4, resulting in the second half of season 5, and ultimately the finale.

I could slap Mccartney for that.
Hee! But G&R did a decent version of it. And it's almost appropriate here, in a funny kind of way. Gotta hand it to BaK. LOL

When you were young
and your heart was an open book
You used to say live and let live
you know you did
you know you did
you know you did
But if this ever changin
in which we live in
Makes you give in and cry
Say live and let die
Live and let die

What does it matter to ya
When ya got a job to do
Ya got to do it well
You got to give the other fella hell

You used to say live and let live
you know you did
you know you did
you know you did
But if this ever changin
in which we live in
Makes you give in and cry
Say live and let die
Live and let die

I'd say after season 5 finale.

And now that i'm not kissing everyone's ass, i'm a "rain-on-my-parade kind of guy", ey?

I don't get it either, boyscout. Are you saying that you were only "kissing people's asses" before?

I didn't exactly love the S6 finale, but it didn't make me go all Sybil on everyone.

I think that the time line in the phantom zone should be different between the time line on earth. Like six hours on earth is six months in the phantom zone. So when Clark comes out he'll be battered and bruised with a beard. Like Superman was in Justice League when he was transported to the future with Vnadal Savage.

Is Clark actually going to fly in the premiere? Something occured to me. He would need to fly to save Martha and Lois on the plane. However the spoilers seem to say he spends some time in the Phantom Zone. Martha and Lois dont seem to have alot of time, their oxygen is already gone. They just have seconds.

So it make sense that Fine is taking them somewhere where they will be alive. If he is, there likely wont be a plane rescue with flight.

I like that idea! Gough did mention that Clark would come back and need to do some soul searching. This time fluctuation would allow him to experience so much whilst little damage has been done on earth.

DeKnight also mentioned that the pre-em would pick up right where the finale left off, so no real time is going to be passing on earth.

I finally watched Vessel for the second time today...and it was a much better episode than I had originally given it credit for. I love the riot at the end of the episode. I never expected something like that in SV. Bring on S6. Bring on the kneeling. Bring on Zod. :D

bring on lanzod! oh i hope they do the deed, that would be just too freaking awesome

So, I'm going to take it Lex is only going to be Zod for the season premiere?

Smallville episodes are always better on subsequent viewings because they put so much into them that you miss alot of the subtle things the first time around.

i hope not....after all this Zod better be in more then 1 episode in season 6. i was think that clark would get Zod out of Lex and think that he killed him but he comes back again in another body. maybe one that looks more like he did in the movies.
