The Dark Knight Rises 6 Minutes of TDKR footage attached to Mission Impossible 4! - - - - Part 13

But again, DNA from blood has been tested from many plane crashes, with the fuel possibly almost gone, from the back end or wings being torn off, it can happen. There are many cases of plane crashes of them using blood DNA to identify people. So it's not a gap in logic, it can happen.

So was the audio mix actually tweaked or was it simply a rumor?

It was tweaked. Banes dialogue wasn't but the background sounds and music were lowered apparently.

A very reliable person who brought us the audio of the prologue confirmed this. He's a projectionist and has always delivered so I trust him.

Of course its a movie. But this tiresome crusade by those that don't like that Nolan is popular, has gotten old on these forums. It's like they have to find anything to rip it apart.

No film is realistic. But Nolan has a great logic in his own world that works. I remember a guy back in 08 saying its impossible to do the bullet thing Bats did in TDK. Found an article of UK police station doing the exact thing. Are all these going to happen, and Batman survive all these great feats. Heck no. I'm not blind to the fact that these are not "reality" but there is a plausibility. What is odd is those that find something that has happened in the real world, and try to say its impossible that it is happening in a film. I guess I just tire of it. So of course these films are not "reality" and I think most know that, but they do have a great feeling of reality in them, but it is a feeling a jump that feels easy to take. And I don't think many think different, its just a lot of people act as if everyone thinks this all can be done at the drop of a hat most don't. So they go to the other extreme and try to say that can't happen, when it has before. That is just my thing. That's why past few months I really don't care to post here much but lol that's me.

That sounds like a good compromise. While I didn't have too much trouble understanding Bane, some parts would have been lost to me if I hadn't read the script beforehand.

It's been covered. They were putting Pavel's blood in the corpse to make the CIA think that Pavel died in the crash.

I think my question honestly is why would you put Pavel's blood into another corpse to make the CIA think that Pavel died in the crash? Is the corpse supposed to be a Dr. Pavel decoy or.....?

Nolan and his decoys....... :awesome:

Well, it doesn't make any sense.

In anyway. When you actually think about it. But it's a movie. So it's alright.

Update from Collider:

UPDATE 3: Steve again. I spoke to a representative from IMAX. They told me that they have not issued a new mix for The Dark Knight Rises, but some theaters have been sent the digital file that would have been playing on an analogue system. Again, they say this digital delivery does not change the way Bane sounds or any of the background noise. Needless to say, I’m sorry we posted something that appears to be inaccurate. Saying that, I’ve seen the IMAX prologue three times and I still struggle to understand what Bane is saying. It’s a real issue.

So I guess I was right about it being a placebo effect. Figures.

No it does make sense, the typical thing people check of bodies for DNA is their blood, then hair, saliva if they need to. We don't know the full context, but someone having the blood in some one, could fool them long enough to escape the country. It is just a movie, but when a plane crashes, many times they have checked blood of DNA to find out who is who in a horrific crash. Especially if there is very little left of a body, they could trick them for a time being, especially since the roster has Dr. Pavel on the list. So they would be looking for him, and may look no further after seeing a mutilated body and checking the blood.

Would it work all the time? Probably not, but it's not some impossibility where one would gawk at it.

EDIT: So I guess I'm late on this new sound mix thing. I guess it was nothing anyways?

They always, atleast most of the time, check dental records.

Blood would burn up.

Not necessarily, many plane crashes have used DNA to see. First off like I said with most planes having fuel in the wings, ( I don't know about that model) the wings were torn off, it very well may hit water, or just hit the ground with a hard impact, and even then impacts of that magnitude will make everything a gooey mess of flesh and blood. So again them checking DNA from blood would be sufficient.

Most of the time it may not happen a certain way, though DNA tests have been done numerous times in plane crashes. So it still really does not mean its an impossibility or gap in logic. It's a precaution they took maybe in hope of giving them more time to escape.

Great post! Bravo!

When basic logic is an inconvenience to the plot, it's not Suspension of Disbelief.
How is this an inconvenience to the plot? The majority won't even THINK about it! They will be able to see this as a god damn film and suspend their disbelief enough to think that Bane's plan is 100% able to work. If you want to think about it THAT much, then just assume that the Nolanverse doesn't have proper dental recognition technology yet.

I can't wait for this topic to be dead.

He changed the mix...in post production they're messing with Mix all the time.

Nothing monumental happened here. some news site are treating this as if its a win against Nolan, or that Nolan has succumbed to something. It's really so stupid.

Ridiculous isn't it?

IMAX can say as they wish, I stand by what I said earlier. There is a noticeable change in the background noise during the entire prologue with the new soundtrack I received.

I'm sorry but if you watch the prologue and go....."wait that doesn't make sense...what about dental records??" Then not only have you missed the point of the scene, you're missing the point of films altogether.

Exactly.

That's what I said. It doesn't matter. It's a movie. But it still doesn't make any sense when you actually think about it.

Which is what people think these films do. No. They're just really good.
