ONE MORE TIME, I think he misheard the accent. When i heard it IN PERSON at Heinz, it sounded ALMOST RUSSIAN. STOP SAYING IT IS BRITISH.

WE ALL HEARD IT. It's on YOUTUBE. It's definitely NOT RUSSIAN and in fact sounds like an OLD BRITISH MAN.

I didn't have to watch it on youtube, I heard it in person, five times.

NOT BRITISH. You all don't know your accents.

Is there a leaked version of the footage ? Please tell me we won't have to wait t'ill December 16...

I liked his accent at Heinz Field. It was not British in any way. It was (as someone else mentioned) something like eastern European.

I'm not discounting the press's reports about Bane being hard to understand, but with a master filmmaker like Nolan & his crew, I think they viewed it before showing it and okayed it, no?

What, did they expect him to speak all formal and prim and proper?

"Hello".

"I am Bane".

"I am going to kill you sir".

"Now I am going to kill you".

Screw the critics opinions. They aren't fans. They are critics"

Let's not forget the confirmation we received that Bane is injured and is relying on some form of anesthetic gas for life. Since we have conflicting reports on Bane's voice at two DIFFERENT points in the story, one can make the assumption that Bane's health is deteriorating (because of some plot point?) and therefore sounds more wheezy during the sequence at Heinz Field. My work here is done. Oh and let's not jump to conclusions before we actually here the voice people.

The effect was not only from the images on screen but from the score, which was reminiscent of Nolan's The Dark Knight and Inception.

:wow: OMG I FORGOT ABOUT ZIMMER'S SCORE

It's official I am going to pass out in the Navy Pier IMAX theater on December 16, 2011 :funny:

Hmmm, what was it in your opinion?

I heard other members describe it as European.

Thinking about Bane carrying a half of Batman's mask, makes you think what he actually does to Batman's face. It wouldn't be easy to take it off. :wow:

And good to read Hans is on top form with his score. Full of dread and tension. :hrt:

Steven Weintraub @colliderfrosty

Something more russian or something like that.

Eastern European.

We heard him do it several times. In person.

I love the whole, "well I SAW IT ON YOUTUBE" argument.

Im with this guy, ive been saying the same thing since hearing it at Heinz. Plus this russian scientist stuff makes me believe it more.

Regardless all this excitement is gonna give me a heart attack before i even get to see any of the movie :awesome::csad::awesome:

The mask scene sounds amazing too. I can't wait to see this footage.

he has six months to fix the voice, i'm not bothered.

That one revelas nothing :csad:
And there goes another complaint about Bane's dialogue. Hope it's not really that bad.

It's probably like the complaints about Batman's voice. People say they can't understand him when he talks, but I have no trouble with it.

I'm not complaining about his accent.

I'm concerned by the multiple reports that he is difficult to understand. That's kinda important to me. Sorry if I'm raining on your parades .

Not that I don't get the concern, but if it's intentional.... I'm cool with it.
There have been lots of heroes and villains with strange, garbled, or warped voices... even provocative characters who are totally mute.

It might be neat to portray a super strong character like Bane as somewhat who can't communicate himself well. It might play into the story.

I dunno... just keep the faith. It's really hard to say how it will all play without context.

It might be that the sound system itself was not set up properly. Hollywood Reporter said a lot of key dialogue was hard to hear, not just Bane's.
