Thinking about Bane carrying a half of Batman's mask, makes you think what he actually does to Batman's face. It wouldn't be easy to take it off. :wow:
Bruce took it off quite easily when he sedated Rachel in Batman Begins.

I doubt Bane's voice is too much of an issue, it is probably similar to Ken Watanabe in Inception, some people didn't understand him, most did. If it really is that bad, Chris has some time to change it.

This may be a rough cut. I'm sure Nolan is still doing sound editing.

Something more russian or something like that.

Eastern European.

Russian and Eastern European are very different.

I love the whole, "well I SAW IT ON YOUTUBE" argument.

I love the whole "well I saw it in person" argument. Because when we actually see Bane, in "The Dark Knight Rises," it'll be a live performance from Tom Hardy, rather than a video recording.

What if it is unintelligible on purpose, like we aren't supposed to hear what Bane is saying. Perhaps it's of some major importance to the plot. Just a thought.

And also put it on easily right before he jumped off the skyscraper in the Hong Kong scene.

I doubt that "most did," at least 100%. Most everyone I know complained that he wasn't 100% understandable.

I'm pretty good at understanding accents, and it took SEVERAL viewings to get all of Watanabe's dialog. I can't recall having that kind of difficulty with any other mainstream movie.

That was the BB suit, though. I'm not sure about this new one. In any case a flurry of punches and kicks will probably remove it. Or..he takes it off when Batman is knocked out, as a mock.

Why are people complaining about Bane's voice being hard to hear? He's wearing a freakin mask for godssakes!!! Why should it be clear?! When people speak in real life, they don't speak like radio announcers so you can hear them clearly. I love that Nolan's characters speak and speak in their world, not for dumb audience members to hear clearlry; Bane is not a radio personality. Jesus Christ!!!

While he's at it, he should fix my Blu Ray copy of TDK, cause Bale sounds horrible in it too.:oldrazz:

Russian and Eastern European are very different.

"Eastern European" is like "South American", there are literally hundreds of accents in those regions.

Hearing Hardy speak in person, I dont think he sounded Russian or "Eastern European", he sounded more British with a breathing problem. We'll see if that's the final voice they use.

Pretty sure that there'll be some post production work on Bane's voice.

I'm not really going to give my opinions on Bane's voice until I hear it for myself.

For the TDK prologue, they didn't touch the sound mix after it was screened in December. But if Nolan's getting a ton of complaints about it, I'm sure he can go back and fix it. Just pointing out that this mix is intended to be final, not just a rough cut.

Uh-oh. Well, it's only one complaint thus far.

Yeah, and that's what has me a little concerned. The first scene they've shown and there's already people buzzing about an unintelligible voice.

I hope it's not a bad omen. Don't think I could stand listening to another round of voice complaints :oldrazz:

That doesn't even make sense. I saw him in person, how much more "live" can you get?

What, did they expect him to speak all formal and prim and proper?

"Hello".

"I am Bane".

"I am going to kill you sir".

"Now I am going to kill you".

Screw the critics opinions. They aren't fans. They are critics"

They ARE fans. I write for JoBlo and every entertainment journalist I know wants this to be great. Last time i saw Steve at collider we nerded out over TDKR for about an hour. If the voice aint working, it isn't a nitpick. Besides, Nolan did release TDK confident in Bales Batman voice, which was pretty goofy in most scenes. The more these concerns are addressed, the more likely Nolan will fix it, HE DOESNT NEED YES MEN.

What toy? The Bat? The one Batman was holding in the Empire cover?

After the prologue came a brief sizzle reel burst of shots from later in the film, which gave us proper looks at Anne Hathaway in full costume, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and a certain wonderful toy.
