but going anal on the accent to me is insanity LOL

See, I think the opposite. Do you want your next Bond movie to have a Jersey accent, or the next Superman to have a Spanish accent? Accents are kinda important to the character. But I'm not surprised, he already doesn't even look like Bane, so why not change more stuff?

Just so I've got this clear.

There are actually people here not only defending, but advocating the idea that Bane's dialogue should be completely unintelligible for the sake of realism. There are also people suggesting that Bane's dialogue being incomprehensible is not a big deal.

Why bother giving him dialogue at all then? What's the point in the character speaking if people can barely make out a word he says?

Just mind boggling.

We're not saying it should be unintelligible. We're saying if you don't understand something because you're either deaf, uncultured, only speak English, have no ear for accents, or are just plain moronic, a person shouldn't have their voice altered to be understood.

If I interviewed a Russian gangster, and not all of what he said was clear, would I ask him to sound mix his voice more clearly??? NO! That's not what happens in REAL LIFE!!! You open your ears and try and understand, and if you can't, well it's not his fault; he is speaking in his accent. Most AMericans are unintelligible to most British people and vice versa; we don't sound clearer or change our accents to suit others. This is the real world. Get used to it!!!!!!!

I'm saying he is Russian (not a convict though) based on his accent and dress, and he does capture Dr. Pavel who also just happens to be Russian.

If Bane captures a Russian, why does that mean that Bane's a Russian?

Why can't he be an international badass or mercenary (or LOS member), who captures people of any and all nationalities?

Wow, thought you would have made the connection. The academy doesn't give best picture awards to box office successes like Inception. They give them awards like these, essentially to shut people up.

Bane sporting a British accent is so goddamn generic. I expected something uncommon (Arabic, Russian, South African, Spanish, etc), and I have every right to be disappointed. It's not, in any way, anal.

I would love and hug Bane like a teddy bear if he's going for a redneck accent

and apparently you can't get over about Bane not looking your vision of Bane and I doubt the general audience would care. only hardcore fans of the comics will do.
