Why can't he be an international badass or mercenary (or LOS member), who captures people of any and all nationalities?

Haha, Bane is Russian because he is Russian, the fact that he captures another Russian makes no difference.

Nationality has nothing to do with it, being a Nuclear Physicist does.

The descriptions are exciting. They're basic, and don't really give me too much to work with, but some of the specific stuff they were allowed to mention (Bane holding Batman's shattered cowl) definitely have me bouncing in my seat.

So please, folks. Do not mistake my "harping" on Bane's voice to be me losing faith in the film. That is a hyperbolic retort at its finest.

If I interviewed a Russian gangster, and not all of what he said was clear, would I ask him to sound mix his voice more clearly??? NO!

There's a difference between "interviewing a Russian gangster" and an actor "portraying a Russian gangster." The actor's job (and the director) is to portray the character in such a way as to be both COMPREHENSIBLE and BELIEVABLE. Those aren't mutually exclusive, and if an actor/directory only succeed in achieving one, then they messed up their job.

That's not what happens in REAL LIFE!!! ...This is the real world. Get used to it!!!!!!!

It gives me the same feeling that the TDK descriptions did. I still vividly remember the description of Joker "wildly firing a machine gun" and just .

I totally disagree. Yes, it is a movie, but Nolan is trying to make it seem real. This is what sets him apart from the rest. He strives for realism, in even the tiniest details. It's fiction, yes, but taken to the absolute extreme in terms of making it seem real.

You keep saying he's Russian. And my question to you is "What is your evidence for saying he's Russian? Did you see the prologue yourself and can confirm that it was a Russian accent?"

Again.... most Robert Altman movies, the Rockey movies,... many many examples of great films with hard-to-understand characters. We have to make the distinction between a stylistic choice and a technical problem.

even if Hardy does a good Spanish or Latin accent but if the rest of the performance sucks then it's going to suck. if he's good then he's going to be good. accent isn't a deal breaker... at least for me anyway.
