Typical SHH to latch on to the one single negative thing and completely ignore everyting else :P
LOL. so much WORD

i came here to read about the discussion of the different scenes from the footage and we have people here going anal on Bane's voice/accent

nerdhorde never change

The ensuing argument about Bane's voice is causing me to lose an increasingly large amount of faith in humanity itself :funny:

I don't understand how there aren't more details already!!!

For anyone who wants to watch an awesome movie with characters who can't be understood 100% of time, check out most of Robert Altman's movies.....
All the characters talk over each other, and half the time you can't understand a word... but darnit, it works.

Exactly. It's called REALISM. People don't speak SLOWLY and CLEARLY for you to hear them. They speak, and you better listen. Some of these people need to go live in a big city like New York or Mumbai, India or PAris, France. Do that and get back to me. People don't give a **** about your sensitive ears.

People defending something they did not hear and criticizing those that did hear it and legitimately couldn't understand it are foolish.

I'm heading to bed in a few. If I wake up to an email with a few more details, I'll be sure to share it in the morning!

Same here, Hopefully your source can provide a full description :yay:

There's nothing crazy about being concerned if we will be able to make out what a crucial character is saying or not..
but when it comes to focusing enormously on this point, and criticism of his accent (whether premature or somewhat educated) - i'm just over it. This has been b*tched about and discussed thoroughly the world over already, lol.

Not that this will make a difference... onward, hypers.

Yeah dude, get to bed. It'll hopefully be up in the morning. :word:

Whoah ho ho! Now there's a productive comment!

When someone makes a legitimate criticism of a film's weakness, you should just say "It is what it is. Deal with it." And suddenly, that criticism is no longer valid!

Lesson learned!

:whatever:

You can't be a critic of what you haven't seen.

Point out one person who said that.

No one did, but Boom I looked at every post you've made since this launched. I did not see one that talked about what you liked hearing (maybe I'm wrong), but about the concern of Bane's voice. (which could be a problem) All you have focused on is that.

So its hard when some one does nothing but focus on the negative the entire time, and then say, "when did I say I hated it?" It's easy to assume that when someone does nothing but focus on the negative.

I know you don't feel that way at all, I know your excited for the film, but I can see where people can get that impression from some people. When one focuses purely on the negative its hard to tell if they are excited or not.

Except Inception won both sound awards but not best picture...so your argument makes no sense.

Wow, thought you would have made the connection. The academy doesn't give best picture awards to box office successes like Inception. They give them awards like these, essentially to shut people up.

If it's any consolation, the descriptions are orgasmic.

Happy :awesome:?

Correct Boom. I love the broken cowl aspect, and the descriptions sound incredible :hrt:

However, I have every right to b***h about a British accent and unintelligable dialogue just as you people have ever right to b***h about me b***hing. :o :awesome:

I don't understand how there aren't more details already!!!

Cause most of it was press and people in the industry, that don't want to lose their privileges and credibility.

@Variety_JLD
Josh Dickey

Because I want to rave about the IMAX format, I won't say anything about the footage, which of course was totally ridonkulously sick.

I'm sure if there is some problem with the voice, Nolan will post-production it to be better, but, I know he wants it raspy and probably doesn't care if it is "hard to understand". The "Batman Voice" was his idea anyway.

Anyway, Bane is Russian.

He does capture this Dr. Pavel.

We still have no idea what the prologue actually is aside from a few scant details about a few images. What is the prologue actually introducing other then Bane?

Watch the TDK prologue. Then watch the opening of TDK on DVD. And get back to me. And you stay classy. :cwink:

Yes, I definitely am much classier than you. I don't insult fellow posters (by calling them dumb and morons) just to get a dumb point across. :o

I know, right? In reality, everybody speaks in long drawn out expositional monologues. :oldrazz:

Just so I've got this clear.

There are actually people here not only defending, but advocating the idea that Bane's dialogue should be completely unintelligible for the sake of realism. There are also people suggesting that Bane's dialogue being incomprehensible is not a big deal.

Why bother giving him dialogue at all then? What's the point in the character speaking if people can barely make out a word he says?

Just mind boggling.
