That was sarcasm.

The point was, it doesn't MATTER if you saw him in person, because that's no more authentic an experience than a video recording is, since it's actually MEANT to be viewed as a video recording. This is for a film, not a live performance. Saying "I know what it sounds like more than you do because I heard it in person" doesn't make sense.

What it will "sound like" means what it sounds like in the film. That's what matters, and that's what we care about.

I don't pick up on sarcasm. In a poor video recording where the phone or whatever is not meant to handle such loud sound, you don't hear the subtleties of someone speaking over a loud speaker. The rise and fall and emphases in his speech are not english. They are from farther east. This makes sense considering Bane's apparently european convicts backstory.

It's realistic and documentary like.
In other words nothing like Nolan's films. Please consult actual documentaries before comparing it to a tentpole blockbuster. They are not at all alike in any of the technical categories.

Are you one of the people who complained about Inception too?
No, and what that does that have to do with anything?

But who cares about that. It's all about Hardy's eyes, remember? The eyes!

Typical SHH to latch on to the one single negative thing and completely ignore everyting else :P

...Highlights include one very confused CIA agent

so possibly it seems the CIA agent, didn't understand Bane either.

:lmao:

Maybe Tatelia and Catwoman can bond over how they both can't understand Bane and Batman. :oldrazz:

So the majority...no wait EVERY single publication is buzzing about the prologue, saying it's amazing, and a real spectacle. Only a handful are complaining about Bane's voice...and people are starting to lose faith in this film?

:whatever: Yeah...anyway.

Or they just speak English, rather than mangled JapanEnglish.

Watanabe's accent was far too thick at certain points, making it difficult to understand. There's nothing moronic about that.

Agreed. It's been a consistent problem in Nolan's movies IMO. It took me multiple viewings to make out what all the Chechen said in TDK.

I hear a lot about the great camera work and great acrobatics/stuntwork. Could the hand to hand action be much more improved this time round?

Inception's choreography wasn't stellar but it was a significant improvement from the TDK.

I have high hopes!

Inception and Batman are not documentaries.

Comprehensibility should not take a backseat to authenticity in a movie made for entertainment.

Here is what I think..
I think his voice is meant to be Russian or of a similar accent, in conjunction with the circumstances of his breathing/wearing of the mask giving a unique twist to that.

I am suspecting that in some sequences, the difficulty in grasping his words will be purposeful. Otherwise, I don't believe it's going to be as much of an issue as it seems from tonight's reactions.

If it's a case where ultimately, without any outside factors inhibiting the sound quality, certain moviegoers find they can't understand it throughout - it wasn't necessarily perceived the same way by others in production and i'm quite sure there are going to be many who understand it - just as they understand Batman's voice fine. However, I don't feel it will be that bad even then.. more like a general case of not understanding everything a character says which happens in plenty of films to some extent.

I can't take this much longer...gonna black out soon...

It's an accent. Deal with it.

Is that suppose be a reference to some comical moment? Possibly this movie's "oh that's not good" guy from TDK.

In numerous interviews, Nolan says he likes the cold, messy fashion of making films and he compares them to documentaries, referring to the style in which he makes films. Yes, it's not a documentary, but Nolan is referring to a feel of a documentary. Re-read the interviews, do your homework and get back to me.

Are they going to confirm if the new Bat Symbol is blue or purple?
