It's only about 15 seconds in the Rises prologue and it's the end of his speech that we don't hear in Dark Knight.

This will be my reaction when I finally see the trailer.

i also heard Gordon clearly during that scene in TDK

however I do remember he spoke very low--but my theater was dead silent watching the film so it was not a problem to hear

Maybe you can help me out... I have tickets to see the prologue in a DOME IMAX. I'm wondering whether it would be better to wait a few days and see it in a standard IMAX? Let me know what you would do. Thanks. I'm conflicted! :csad:

It's just Oldman's delivery in that scene that makes it hard to understand, he speaks very quickly and almost in a monotone voice making it difficult to understand.

"IfIdidn'tworkwithpeopleyou'dinvestigatedatI.A.I'dbeworkingalonneeeee. Idontgetpolitcalpointsforbeinganidealist.IhavetodothebestIcanwithwhatI'vegot."

Thats how I heard it, it's just really fast.

Name that movie how long before the prologue would you recommend showing up? Im assuming you work at a theatre or something so figured Id ask. Id hate to show up 45 min early and realize it wasnt enough time lol.

I'll take my chances with arriving half an hour early.

By standard do you mean Digital or a normal 70mm IMAX? If its just between a non dome and a dome film theatre there really isn't a difference. Only real difference is the dome curves more then your straigt up 6 story screen.

As for showing up early, the prologue doesn't start till the scheduled start time, so showing up early is all up to you and where you'd want to sit. The seats you want for the best presentation are 4-5 down from the top, dead center. That is where we sit when its calibrated.

I'm planning to get there around 8:45-9:00.

Yeah, it's just between a dome and a 70mm IMAX screen. I'm debating whether to see it in the Flat large 70mm or the dome. For the 70 mm I'd have drive a ways out, but for the dome it's right by my house and free! I just feel that the image may be distorted in the dome format.

Oh wait, you ment for the showing on Tuesday. Just like any advanced screening you want to get there early. it's a first come thing, pass just means your in, so you want a better seat you need to be early.

For the TDK screening of the prologue in NYC people had lined up 5 hours+ before hand

I'm going to do some ninjaing too. See what info I can dig up if there's any

I had no problem hearing and understanding anything in the 2 Batman movies, but that's because I watched it on Blu-Ray and with earphones - no subtitles.

However, I did notice Gordon talking fast in the scene in Dent's office.

I'm always nervous talking about Watanabe, because I don't want my comments to be taken as racist.

But if I'm being frank, he was borderline unintelligible at times - even after multiple viewings.
I honestly had no problems understanding Watanabe. Even on the first viewing, I gave him the all clear.

Oldman's "If I didn't work with every cop you investigated..." line in TDK is hard to follow the first time because he talks to fast and monotone.

I also had trouble understanding some of Watanabe's dialogue in Inception. I missed some of the beginning, and even at other points I could follow him, but I had to concentrate on what he was saying.

You might as well not even attend.

Yeah, I don't know where you live Boom but the night of the TDK prologue screening a half an hour before we were about to be seated and the line stretched from the third floor to out the door.

YOu think thats not far enough in advance? think an hour is good? Never been to an advanced screening before I have no clue. Maybe Ill pull a raganork I have the day off tuesday and arrive nine hours early. Like Tailgaiting.
