61 Nights of Halloween (2024 Edition)

Today I watched -
VAMPIRES IN VENICE (AKA - NOSFERATU EN VENICIA)(1988) starring Klaus Kinski, Christopher Plummer, Donald Pleasence, Barbara De Rossi, Yorgo Voyogis, and Anne Knecht. This was originally intended as a direct sequel to Werner Herzog's NOSFERATU. But...when Kinski showed up on set, he refused to have the Nosferatu makeup applied (saying he wouldn't go through that again) and refused to even cut his hair that was now extremely long. He kept arguing for script changes (such as having his vampire character walk around in broad daylight and to be immune to crucifixes) this led to there being at least 5 different directors during the course of filming. The most reprehensible part of the production is that Kinski is reported to have sexually assaulted two of the main actresses and nothing was done about it.

Repossessed or Scary Movie 2? One has Leslie Nielsen instead of James Woods...

Still haven't seen Repossessed tho. :o

I tried watching Repossessed but I had to tap out. Bad Leslie Nielsen parodies break my heart. For me, Wrongfully Accused is the last great one from that classic period.

My second time watching this and I still enjoyed it quite a bit on a rewatch. A bit of an underrated gem from Xazier Gens IMO although I'm not the biggest fan of the demonic possession genre.

Man do I love this movie. Still my favorite French Horror film to this day and I swear it keeps getting better and better every time I rewatch it over the years and I doubt that will ever change.

The last 20 minutes of this movie is still intense asf too.

38. It's What's Inside (2024)

Yeah, this was a fun movie. The characters remind me of the charactrs in Bodies, Bodies, Bodies. Went a bit heavy on the colored lighting maybe. Great job on making me absolutely loath one of the characters.

39. Under Paris (2024)

Looks. You mix a little Deep Blue See, a little Jaws, and a little Godzlla 1998, add in a little Syfy channel level of CGI, you get something that probably isn't good, but entertaining. The opening scene is absolutely perfect for a killer shark movie. But there is a progression of the movie, it just gets stupider and stupider. The final 15 minutes is just glorious in its stupidity.

The Mist

No other movie can give you the feeling of being trapped in Walmart at 2am.

PSA: ONLY watch this in Black & White.

I still find REC clever for combining the possession and zombie genres.

So I am off work today so I was able to finally watch "Time Cut" and it's a fun movie. So the actual ending wasn't something I had thought about, although it was a combination of both endings in a way:

The main girl, Lucy kills the killer (who is the future version of the science nerd she was working with in 2003) but in the present of 2024. She eventually goes back to the past to be with her sister, Summer and the nerd. She explains that in 2024 she did go back to her house and her parents did not recognize her and she didn't have much of a future in 2024, so she stayed in 2003, where Lucy and Summer will be closer to the same age by 2024.

I think it was after you found out Danny Glover was living in that stingy apartment.
Tbh, I haven't seen Saw since 2005, I think. Once you see the ending it loses some rewatch value.
