I need The Wolf to get some Awards tonight!

I need The Wolf to get some Awards tonight!

In my world, it would win Best Picture, Leo would get Best Actor, Winter would get Best Screenplay, and Scorsese would get Best Director.

I don't think Wolf is winning anything tonight and I actually think American Hustle could lose all ten of it's Oscar bids because I think Her is winning best screenplay.

Jennifer Lawrence has practically been campaigning against winning the Oscar by not campaigning by not showing up to any award show except the Globes. I think Lupita is winning. I wouldn't be surprised if Lawrence won but it would be pretty amazing since she has been sitting this awards season out.

The less you act like you want something the more people want to give it to you.

Something tells me also she's been lying low intentionally. I have this uncomfortable feeling there's going to be backlash if she wins today with the perception being she won not because of the performance but because she's Jennifer Lawrence.

Alfonso Cuaron - Best Director
Gravity - Best Picture

That's what I want. Despite Cuaron winning every major precursor award, I'm nervous as hell about Best Director. If McQueen wins I am going to be absolutely livid.

I'll be disappointed if Gravity doesn't win, but I'm not expecting it to.

Most backlashes are so childish and stupid. I don't think she wants to win again so soon either because of that factor. The voters are going to do what they want though.

I'm still going with a Director/Picture split. 12 Years gets Picture, Gravity gets Director.

I actually think there's no way Cuaron doesn't win Director. Gravity might not be the best film from a story perspective but from a technical perspective it's hands down the best film.

My Predictions:

Best Picture-12 Years a Slave
Best Director- Alfonso Cuarón -Gravity
Best Adapted Screenplay-12 Years a Slave
Best Original Screenplay-Her
Best Actor-Matthew McConaughey
Best Actress-Cate Blanchett
Best Supporting Actor-Jared Leto
Best Supporting Actress-Lupita N'Yongo

I think Gravity will sweep all the technical awards in addition to best director.

I'm so pissed that I'll be missing the Oscars tonight. Dammit. :argh:

Did the timing change? My TV guide originally said that the ceremony was officially starting at 8, but now it's pushed to 8: 30.

Gotta give the actors an extra half hour to get drunk beforehand.

And for Jennifer Lawrence to provide the internet with gif material for the year.

You forgot that Leo DiCaprio has to sniff cocaine off Margot's **** before the show too.

A fair assumption. It's a lock for FX and the sound categories I feel, editing and cinematography will go close. At least 5 wins for Gravity today is my prediction.

The less you act like you want something the more people want to give it to you.

Which explains why people on the Hype still fancast Ryan Gosling for every damn role possible. :o
