They got the link up as well

Yeah that sh** was pretty awful.

I for one will HAPPILY take this over the **** we usually get. Was it "cringe"? Sure. But it clearly came from a place of authentic love for the nominees and their art. Give me that kind of "cringe" any day over the usual cringy *wink-wink* 'Ain't it funny normal people don't watch good movies? Why are we so boring?' schtick.

I feel like that rap would have done better at the Globes where they serve alcohol. I know I would be enjoying it with a few drinks in me.

I'm really interested in seeing who gets Best Actor tonight at the SAGs. I still can't believe Butler beat Farrell at BAFTA. Especially when Banshees was winning so much.

One the subject of Oscars, I think the last movie to sweep the big awards was Schindler's List. It won:

NYFCC
NBR
LAFCA
NSFC
LFCC
GG
DGA
PGA
WGA
BAFTA

I know people hate that movie but it's still impressive. There has yet to be another film to achieve that. Keep in mind: the SAG awards, the Online Film Critics Society, and Critics Choice awards didn't exist yet.

Yeah that seemed to me like the likeliest arena for Farrell to win since it was on "home turf", so to speak.

Who hated Schindler's List? That is like....one of the all-time great films

I have never heard of anyone hating on Schindler's List. I've heard plenty of people say that they have no desire to watch it again based on its content but that doesn't mean they hated it.

The first time I watched it, I cried in the first 10 minutes. I was around 7 or 8 when we rented it on VHS. My mom had to take me out of the room and she put in some cartoon for me on the other tv.

Jamie Lee Curtis and Ke Huy Kwan both won SAG. They're now both the frontrunners for the Best Supporting Oscar.

Stunned that Yeoh and Fraser won. Thought their categories were wrapped up.

Need it to repeat in a couple of weeks.

Supporting Actor seems to be the only one that’s a lock. The other categories are an open field now.

EEAAO is pretty much a lock to win Best Picture.
Which is absolutely delightful. With Parasite winning just a few years back, it's nice to see the Academy showing such support for more esoteric films.
