They should change his name to Mark Grayson and give him superpowers and his dad should be from another planet!
Where the hell does that even come from, anyways? DJ, what's the J stand for?
On the other hand, it's the CW, which means it's aimed at a crowd immature enough to laugh at the name Dick.
I'm pretty sure the Batman 66 movie was released after the first series of the TV show.
People will love what they're told to love, just like many did with SMALLVILLE.
That's the nature of superheroes and comic book characters, though, isn't it? Finding adventure at every turn?
And MERCY REEF was just...awful.
Oh and by the way Gianakin, Gough and Millar were the reason Smallville was good, the last they only served as producers, and they left last season, which was in my opinion, the worst.
With Grayson, there is nothing that could be done with a family that works in a circus and travels around. Nothing interesting, I mean.
Yes, depending on the hero and character. Dick Grayson's past to become a series of adventures sounds extremely bad.
Either you get an eleven year old that gets in trouble (wow, SO much potential)
or they will start changing things significantly to the point where the guy will probably not need Batman to become Robin.
Just to end this little debate and not get off topic. I still think Gough and Millar were one of the main reason the show was good. Yeah they messe continuity, but every episode written by them was very good. They did good stuff with Smallville, but they also made some very unimaginative, continuity-hurting and nonsensical decisions. They're like the Highlander producers, fought for the show, had heart, but lacked the necessary talent.
Case in point, the moment they left, the show has become aces again. Episodes 1 and 2 of this season were fantastic and the 3rd looks great as well (imo, of course).
Season 7 was problematic but I enjoyed it because it continued being a Superman more than an origin show (something that started from season 6).
Are you serious? This is a circus that travels around the DC Universe...and you're saying there's nothing interesting that can be done with that concept?
Why? What's inherently bad about it?
Interesting outlook. But it has any more potential when this 11-12 year old is a superhero in the comics?
That said, it's fairly obvious THE GRAYSONS will not be portraying Robin as an 11 year old.
He will always need Batman's guidance, resources, and knowledge to becomea superhero. That doesn't mean he can't be portrayed as a capable fellow in his own right before he meets Batman. He was in the comics.
even the clever posters are being surpisingly narrow minded and pessimistic about this![]()
The concept has potential, but it will not be met. Smallville is the model, and Smallville is garbage, so the model is garbage. The product can reasonably be expected to be garbage.
Robin is awesome, but this "The Graysons" idea is ****. Seriously? It's about as bad as that idea of a Star Wars prequel about Luke's life on Tatooine.
I predict a swift cancellation and a move to ABC family channel to finish out the run of episodes.![]()
actually I have to agree, I think they should venture into a superman show and really explore the rise of Lex Luthor and just other aspects of Superman. though I haven't seen the series so I have no idea ho wits going.
