It goes through a lot of thread drift. There's one poster who's adamant the guy who dumped the spinster is a closet gay and provides a lot of "evidence" how she's been honing her gaydar by "practicing." Ie, dating guys who she THINKS are gay and then deciding in her mind that they are gay because of her "evidence." That's equally as and popcorn-worthy as the spinster herself.

Forums replete with men or middle-aged women (and gay men)....we're all the same deep down.

The f*** you will. You told me several weeks ago that you would no longer be pursuing comic girl and would be focusing on fling girl. i've lurked in this thread for awhile now,but never felt the need to post. til now. my experience in the wonderful world of relationships is 4 girlfriends in my lifetime, been married now for 12 years,been with my wife for near 15,and we have a 9 year old son together.

Dreadstar,just...man,i don't know what else i can say that hasn't been said before. while i DO feel for you,as i know the pain of a sudden breakup myself, part of me simply CANNOT feel sorry for you as you were technically attempting to cheat on Fling Girl for a long time now. what's hurting you is,without knowing it you WERE in a relationship with her,and you DID consider her your girlfriend,whether you acceoted that or not. going out together, making dinner together, holding hands everywhere you went, having lots of sex and cuddling afterwards - that's a relationship pal!

and no matter HOW much you say you did everything right with her, part of you was never committed,and women can pick up on that. cause while you can SAY you were giving her your full attention, you actually were not,as part of your time and energy was being spent trying to play hide the sausage with Comic Girl,and now on this 3rd, unnamed girl/woman (let's call her Workout Girl).she might've picked up on this as well.

in my opinion - she saw/felt you weren't as committed to her as she was to you,and then started making plans for life without you. and you're problem was you were so worried about proving a point to yourself about getting women in the sack, whether it be a midlife crisis situation or not isn't my place to say, that you didn't FULLY appreciate what you had with Fling Girl. right under your nose,you fell in love with her. and she possibly with you. but you f$%ked it up by NOT looking at what you had in front of you,but by constantly looking for the next thing to jump in bed with. and now it came back to bite you in the ass,big-time!

could you win her back? possibly. but it's gonna involve making a REAL change,and that means being done with Comic Girl and Workout Girl,and putting all your efforts into winning Fling Girl back,with no guarantee for success. so you have 2 choices - put all you effort into winning your love back, and dumping the other women. or continue doing the mid-life bachelor thing,get cheap sex, but nothing else. choice is yours,and no happy ending is guaranteed. it may be too late.

you say that Comic Girl likes to "please" you and basically picks up after you when you go out to eat. did it ever occur to you that Fling Girl might've seen you two out at dinner without you knowing?

Dude, I was in the exact same situation. I was dating Christina, it went on for 3 months, was never really serious but I took her out to nice places and it was relationship-y. Then we broke it off. It wasn't the end of the world, I was still thinking and pursuing other options the whole time anyways. So I just told her "I'm mad, this was deceitful" and she was like "we can still do this...". No. I told her no. I'm done. Haven't texted her since.

Yeah, it stings, for a bit. I was at work. She was trying to do it via text, and even basically coaxed her into saying it by texting "what's up? you're acting different lately?". That sucks. So what?

I texted my friend, told her, then just said "on to the next one" and I've been partying and moving on to other girls since.

Sh** half the time when I do that a few months later when they're looking they'll be like "can we hook up?"

That NEVER happens after what you did.

So that's what I mean by acting like a b****.

Ok, I texted fling girl and told her she can come by my place after work and pick up her camera. She came by, I invited her in for a beer. Then we talked for 1 hour. She started to cry and holding my hand when I told her how much I care for her and how I REALLY want to make this work. She asked me why I still wanted to be with her after all the things she said she could not believe that I took all the blame when she made mistakes too. She said what if things do not improve after 1 month, it will be harder to say good bye. I told her we have to focus on the positive. She did not know what to say. She acknowledged that she is a bad communicator and apologized. I took her out for dinner, I picked up the tab of course. I made sure to open all doors for her and turned up the AC in my car. I am taking her out for lunch tomorrow. She kissed me goodbye.

I am not sure if we are back together, least we are talking.

She is going out of town for the long weekend. And I am NOT going out with my nachos group as comic chick will be there! SO NO ride home for her from me tonight!

I've half suspected like 90% of what he says is bullsh**.

Like we have this Foundry Guy at work and I dunno, I'm sure it's just been hookers for him since 1986. Yet he knows enough to make up stories.

He's the exact same way always talking about these girls he's "with" even though you can tell from the story they have no real relationship with him. They're all Hooter's waitress.

I work with Ghostrider87 is what I think I'm saying here. Not quite as bad, but eerily similar.
