Well the opposite would be the worst.

But Iron Man is a few years old. I am curious to see how Guardians will be reviewed as the years go by.
I edited the first page.

As much as I love Iron Man I'd put Cap above it. It gets better each time you see it, plus it has a fantastic villain.

wait, wait. in a world were Elektra, TASM franchise, Catwoman, F4nt4stic Four, Man of Steel an XO:Wolverine exist, how is Ang Lee's Hulk worse than them?

Personally I love Hulk, have done since it came out in 2003 and still love it now, probably still makes my top 20. But I totally agree there are much worse origin movies out there even from the stand point of people who didn't like Hulk. But anyway, is not an MCU movie.

Are you sure?this says the opposite.

I didn't say IM is considered THE best MCU movie, read my quote, I said it still considered ONE of the best, which it is.

You said it was the best mcu solo movie.
I was replying to your solo movie comment, not the other one.
See below.

IM is still considered one of the best marvel movies and
is definitely consider the best solo origin movie
they have done.
This was my was reply above.

Well GOTG is a team movie so I wasn't referring to that when I said, hence why I didn't include it in the poll.

I'd say Ant-Man, dude had a good origin film for a new guy.

You are correct,it is a team movie.
If you talking about critics however for the solo movies then ironman is considered the best mcu movie, but if go by the audience it's Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Of course if go by the audience and the audience is the majority then captain america 2 would be considered the best mcu solo movie.
You could consider it a tie,but I think the audience is more important then the critics because they are the majority.

I never used the audience rating on RT because unlike with the critics(who are much more finite and so the RT score represents the vast bulk of that community) it's not a useful sampling(same thing goes for the scores over at IMDB). In fact there really is no measurement of the general audience that can be trusted. Most general audience members would never bother to go rank anything on sites like RT or IMDB so they are effectively meaningless. But the RT critic score at least can give a somewhat accurate picture of what the critic community thinks and THAT you can trust.

And by that metric Iron Man is still the best MCU solo movie, MCU movie in general, best Marvel movie over all and ties with TDK as the best live action superhero movie of all time. Incredibles still wins over all though and scoffs at IM1 and TDK's paltry 94% fresh rating. It's at 97%.

I think the audience views are just as important or more important in fact then the critics but that's me.
Anyway check these out.

Reviewing the Movies: Audiences vs. Critics

When Film Critics and Movie Fans Disagree

Critics can't be right all the time. (Please hold your snarky response until the end.) A few months ago, we examined the videogames with the biggest discrepancies between critic scores and the Metacritic user consensus. Today, we do the same thing for movies. The following pages include three lists of movies with the biggest point differential between professional reviewers and our site visitors, beginning with a look at the films rated more highly by critics than by users.

Well that's why I said this poll will be origin movies only, and that IM is considered the best solo origin movie, seriously all of this is in my first post my friend.

TDK average rating is higher then ironman's and the audience rating too,so overall TDK is considered the more developed movie.
The average ratings is the real critic rating, not the Tomatometer.

I should have read the whole thing again, but you right again.:woot::yay:

Speaking of critics vs the audience,i think they are both important, but for me i consider the audience views more important then the critics but i look at both to get a good idea before watching a movie.
Some times they both get it wrong, but i tend to find the audience views on average more closer to my views especially when it comes to fantasy and sci-fi.

Sure, the average rating is higher but who's to say one has more weight than the other? Seems pretty presumptuous to say that.

TDK is still considered the best CBM by many, but there no definitive way to gauge it so who knows? It doesn't apply to this threat anyway, this thread is for some specific MCU movies.

Captain America First Avenger.

How the hell is Incredible Hulk an origin movie?

I wanna vote but Spider-Man hasn't come out yet. :funny:

Including Iron Man...

1) Thor
2) Ant-Man
3) Captain America
4) Iron Man

5) Incredible Hulk

I'll have to rewatch them again soon to say, but I think it's between Cap and Ant-Man for me.

For me:
1 Iron Man
2 Ant-Man
3Thor
4 The First Avenger

All very close though.
