After Nolan's BATMAN trilogy... - Part 1

If 60 year old Michael Keaton played batman in a justice league movie I'd pay $20, even if it only cost 10.

I'm kind of interested to see Affleck don the mask. I think ,despite what most believe, he's gonna give a stellar performance as Batman. I think he knew taking this on he would be scrutinized on playing Bats so I think he knows he's gonna give us an A+ performance along side Cavill who I thought did an excellent job as Supes.

We could be blessed by Cavill & Affleck to pull this off and rival or maybe even TOP the Avengers success.

Well now Im really interested to see what Affleck will do with Batman.
He impressed me with the Town & Argo. His take on Batman might surprise people.

So far, after Nolan's BATMAN trilogy, is it safe to say that most are in agreement that Affleck has filled in rather well as Batman/Bruce?

I think he's been great, but sadly, I don't think we'll see him in a solo movie, so we'll probably never know what he was like with a full movie to himself.

Perhaps, but what is going on with the solo movie? Is Matt Reeves still involved?

I will be glad to see the end of Batfleck. Good riddance.

Yeah, we're still getting a movie from him, but Affleck is getting more and more blunt about his involvement. I think it's pretty clear he wants out, or WB want's him out. Either way, I"m 95% sure he's done.

The rumor is that Reeves wants Jake Gyllenahaal. So we'll see.

Thats a shame. Not sure if Affleck feels his stint is done and its not fun anymore or WB really doesnt care for him, If so, I wonder why?

A Batman movie written by Nolan and directed by Aronofsky...A fantasy stylized Aronofsky film that uses the logic and storytelling traits of Nolan...pure gold, dammit! :D

What you said. Let Nolan write them and mandate certain things then let others direct. Except let Patty Jenkins do what she wants.

Im not sure Nolan would write a Batman storyline and give someone else the control over it.

I know most disagree with but please no. I've had to suffer through his Batman, can't I have a little more of the one I vastly prefer?

Patty Jenkins though, rousing yes. She seems to have a head for good films that the pinheads/critics will also connect with if Wonder Woman is a good example.

I am with you actually. I know probably in the minority. I never liked the Bale/Nolan version. That Batman seemed so wooden. He was like a secondary character in his own film. And Bale with that annoying hoarse voice he used. OMG.

Ah, seems like im not as alone as i thought on this.
Begins is the only one i can stomach, but the rest is not really that good imo.

Michael Keaton in "Batman" was the only good movie Batman. But even then they just relegated Batman to a side character in "Batman Returns", which was more just "Batman Shows Up Again"

LOL. Good way of putting it.

Also, I absolutely hated the fight scenes. Nolan used that herky jerky motion in Begins & it got my nauseous. Hes Batman you want to actually see the fights.

Yeah, but looking at the other movies...im kind of glad Begins had this fast cuts where you barely could see anything.
Bales Batman doesnt look like a master of more than 100 fighting styles, it looks weird as it gets when he fights.
I take Batman&Robins fight scenes over whatever Knight and Rises had.

Not necesarrily. Batman's supposed to be about confusing enemies, dropping in on them suddenly and attacking unseen. Batman Begins captured that beautifully, it was never meant to be much of an "action movie'" at all.

Captures it? I disagree. Everyone jumps to Nolan's defense when you criticize anything about his style. It was horrible for fight scenes in Batman Begins. If you cant see the artistry and fluidity of Batman's craft of martial arts....Whats the point of it all? You have to see it to appreciate it. I dont have to feel like I am in the fight. I would like to step back and acknowledge his martial arts skill was captured to see.

Yeah.
Like i said, i get the idea behind the way they shot the begins fight scenes...but afterwards, no way sir.
I would go so far and say that the fight scenes in nolans trilogy are the worst in any comic book movie.

He can do good action scenes, but the hand to hand combat in the Nolan Trilogy is just awful and awkward.
I sometimes get the feeling they did the choreography of the fights an hour before shooting.
