This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]400539[/split]
Speaking of Guillermo del Toro lets just say he is working on a movie that has the potential to be the greatest movie ever committed to film. Or bytes. I hear that his next epic, PACIFIC RIM ( a Japanese Porno) is testing so well that Warner Brothers wants to offer him everything they have. Fortunately he passed on the feature version of V and the sequel to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but he does want to do his own version of the Avengers, just supernaturally. Called HEAVEN SENT he is combining all the magical beings from DC Comics in one epic adventure. Deadman, The Spectre, Swamp Thing, Constantine Hellblazer, Phantom Stranger, Zatanna, Zatara, and Sargon as well as Etrigan the Demon will team up to no doubt save us from the Stay Puft Marshmallow man. Now this one is a ways away, but Warners lawyers have been working every night trying to clear the rights to all these characters. I am excited. Imagine a giant inflatable Spectre floating over San Diego ComiCon like we had with the SKY CAPTAIN Robot? Or endless screenings of the film like with SCOTT PILGRIM? Or maybe a building converted into a giant ad like with COWBOYS AND ALIENS? HEAVEN SENT is certain to RULE ComicCon in 2020! Que Bueno!
To WB:
Give Liman the source material and couple of consultants and let the man do his thing.
Bummer. Some of those characters weren't even prominent in the comic and I was hoping Dark Universe would follow the Squad's example and use more female and minority characters. But I guess it'll be like JL and have a token woman and a token minority.I think the team was going to be Constantine, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Deadman, Etrigan, Spectre and Phantom Stranger when it was being developed by Del Toro.

I'd be down with Lewis but goddamnit, he should have been Lex Luthor.
Doug Liman is the best director the DCEU has so far. I'm excited. And how about Damian Lewis for John Constantine?
(even though it's going to be Collin Farrel)

Team movies tend to have a limit of one woman and one racial minority, sometimes they combine the two. With the exception being the Suicide Squad. I was hoping DC would go against that trend and add another woman to the team, like in the comics (Madame Xanadu, Black Orchid, Amethyst). But I guess not...Man..........what?

Couldnt they bring Raven and Dr. fate into this squad?
So after Joe M. followed both Johns and Snyder on twitter, I have no doubt about Eiza Gonzales being Zatanna.
Omg that would have been great.
But did he follow back? That's the difference lol They actually followed Eiza Gonzalez backYou know, I follow Zack on Twitter.
I'm not saying I've been cast as Hal Jordan. But I'm not saying that I haven't been.
Madame Xanadu put the team together in the comics, so using her makes sense. I'm hoping they go for Black Orchid. The animated movie is using her so why can't the DCEU. Give me Alba Garcia!I know. JL only has one woman, it wouldn't hurt to get 2 in JLD.
