Agent Carter Agent Carter General Discussion Thread - Part 1

I haven't even started this series yet. I've got it piling up on the DVR, I really should get onto that ASAP.

Well you've got a few more days until we get into the run to the end, so catch up!

8 episodes feels right. Otherwise we'd need intertwining story arcs. Just look at AoS. The first half was all spies and espionage, while the coming half is all Inhumans. It could well be a different show, whereas AC can have a laser focus on the Stark plot

But if less really is more then they should have even less and only have 3 episodes. The season would be over already. :oldrazz:

BBC's Sherlock does 3 episodes a season, and that show is excellent.

:cwink:

I'm really liking this show... Agree with others that it's better than Agents of Shield

Shame that the ratings aren't better than they are.

I'm digging this show so far. I appreciate that it has a persistent, developing narrative to follow, and that even the side characters don't feel quite as trivial as they do on SHIELD.

Still not quite what I'd call must see tv, but I definitely enjoy it.

Going to be interesting to see how we all feel towards AoS when we all go back to it after Agent Carter. First few episodes need to hammer home why AoS was getting good!

Less does make for a better. At least, it reduces the chances of a bad episode. And I haven't seen a bad episode yet.

Bah, I bet we would get more good/great eps in a full season because ... it would be a full season. I would accept some filler eps for that.

It isn't just that, longer seasons also have pacing issues because you have to time things for sweeps, actor availability, etc. while still rushing out an episode every week.

Although I do think the worst of both worlds is just an unknown number of episodes to plan for so I'm definitely glad it's not that.

Soon VERY soon

Finally!

The latest episode is better but it's still draggin' along.....Man, Markus and McFeely said to be expecting a major villain but I haven't said anything yet....Just another shady and elusive organization.....Marvel needs to present its villains.

This could be a wonderful show and it's just a great big meh, for now. The ratings are down because people don't get excited about the show. And there is no reason to be excited. Next week, it's just another device that's missing, some guy or girl whose mystery will only be revealed in the next episodes, no villain or threat in sight...Nothing...

With next week's russia involvement, the kick ass little girl, and the familiar moves by the new blond... im pretty sure we are getting some black widow history unfolding

If Dottie is not the killer of Kresminski, I'll be surprised.

I'm calling it now... Dottie is Yelena Bolova or some made up early version of a black widow

Yellena i would have loved to see go toe to toe with tasha on film, but it makes sense to throw her into the 40s since tash apparently has no infinity formula in her and all the "russian spies are trained young" refrences

This series might have a bigger tie in to AOU than I would have ever thought.
