Are you the first to point this out on here? I caught it on the first watch.. I guess I should feel proud of myself or something. ...nah
Fennhoff sounds germanic to me. Like Hasselhoff.

Yea, I think the Flash has some excellent VFX work... some of that Firestorm stuff was simply amazing. IMO, visually, the best "superhero stuff" on TV we're gotten to date. Unfortunately, 90% the writing and 50% of the acting on that show is laughably amateurish. Given a choice between the latter and the former, I'd go with the latter every time.Excluding animation, you may be right.
Co-signed.I do prefer Agent Carter, and the MCU TV shows, to be superhero adjacent. Let's see more cool stories happening in the MCU, with ties to the superheroes, but without the additional baggage of needing a villain who can spar with someone extraordinary. That's what makes AC so fun for me - it's a cracking spy thriller, but with a backdrop of an awesome movie franchise
Co-signed * 2.^I'm in complete agreement. The main thing I love about AC & AoS is how they're there to fill in the gaps left by the movies(and presumably the Netflix shows as well...we'll see how they end up being). Of course this works for me because more than any single franchise I'm a fan of the MCU as a thing unto itself, a sprawling wildly divergent universe with lots of breadth and depth and width that we aren't just told about or hinted at it being so but that we actually get to voyage toward different corners and in very different directions as we experience this gigantic, seemingly never ending sandbox that's full of all manner of exciting and weird stuff yet is still pinned down enough in plenty of places that it feels not to dissimilar from how the real world is so it can remain relatable. It's truly a wondrous thing to behold and is so exciting to know that it'll only get bigger as we go on and even more immersive for the viewer.
but...but... GotG itself aknowledged the HoffShhh! You should know the rules. Never mention his name around a Marvel property again.![]()
I never even saw his Nick Fury TV movie. I heard it was terrible but then that was par for the course for Marvel on celluloid in the 1990's and earlier. I doubt it could be worse then the 1990 Cap movie.

Marvel's plans for Dr Fenhoff is that he develops brainwashing techniques for Hydra. That has been common knowledge for months.
Do you think we'll get WS popping up at some point in a future AC season?
Seeing that line now makes perfect sense since we saw Fenhoff use that technique in mind-controlling every person this season and then being in the same cell as Zola. Great callback by the writing staff."Focus, Sergent Barnes"

Obviously not that common. One could easily confirm the start of winter soldiers brain washing as such.. but Fenhoff did quite fine with a ring and persuasive words... rather than a big crazy machine... especially considering Fenhoff is psycologically manipulating via his own psychosis and not technology
Itd be interesting to see him again. Maybe next time with a beard!
I enjoyed the finale, especially the way the scenes with Peggy trying to talk Howard down while he thought he was going to find Cap, were a nice parallel to the scene at the end of The First Avenger.
The fight between Peggy and Dottie was good and I'm glad she survived as I'd like to see her in season 2 so we get a round 2 between them.
The way the show ended with Peggy and Angie now living in one of Stark's homes, Jack being a bit of a prick still and now the SSR boss, and of course the big [BLACKOUT]Arnim Zola[/BLACKOUT] reveal at the end, certainly makes it feel like the show runners are confident of getting a 2nd season.
The shot with Peggy pouring out Steve's blood into the Hudson was a nice way to close out the season for her, but my actual favorite shot of the finale was in Howard's hallucination out in the snow when Peggy showed up holding Cap's shield.
