I think 13 episodes idea is better. hardly any filler episodes with a more tight, accomplished storytelling

Well if they're skipping the pilot I'd take it too.
the idea is if THESE do well they'll ask for more over doing one pilot then a series

Sleepy Hollow started with !3 episodes ,
Now , there are reports that it could get 15. maybe as much 18 episodes in season 2.
So , eventually AC might get to a full season pickup order .

if I remember correctly the producers said if their ratings do well they would consider a 2nd series. again 13 episodes.

they are a fan of one big villian through the season.

It will be interesting on how it will tie together.

The exciting thing for me is getting to see the beginnings of The Hydra Infiltration .
I am sure there are lots of surprises contained in that backstory .

Very excited considering the agent Carter one shot was awesome.

Agent Carter has one big advantage over Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: while this last one you know that Hulk, Iron Man, and Cap are around; but in the 40's, Cap is on ice, there are no known superheroes around, so it won't face the same logistical problems of AoS. The path is clear for some great SHIELD/HYDRA spy stuff, even over the course of several decades. In fact, I think this is the show Marvel should've started with. I'm very excited wit h the possibilities of Agent Carter as a series.

AoS has no logistical problem. The vast mayority of people know the difference between ABC series and multi million dollar movies. You can either watch Coulson and Skye on the sofa for free, or drive a while, pay a ticket and have Hulk, Iron Man, and Cap turn up. Simple.

But I'm still hoping for some of the Golden Age heroes to show up like Union Jack, a young Spitfire, Miss America, The Whizzer and any of the others. Even the original Human Torch could be activated. I would love to see that explored since he was in the glass case at the expo. Would be cool to actually meet his inventor, Dr Phineas Horton.

And I also hope for some flashbacks to when Cap was "alive", showcasing the montage section that was glossed over in CA:TFA.

I know, what I tried to say is that they used this whole 'level' thing to avoid things crossing over, like Cap not knowing that Coulson is alive, etc. They did a good job at it, what I'm saying is that Agent Carter won't have to face that, in fact there's a whole other world of untold stories they can get into without worrying about if it ties directly to what's going on in the current Marvel movies or not.

Agent Carter has to succeed, y’all. The Hulk can get two failed films with different actors, get a favourable reception in The Avengers with yet another actor, and STILL get considered for yet another solo film, but Black Widow and Wonder Woman are still "too risky."

So long as it's better than AoS. Hell, how can it not be? Hayley Atwell is the lead!

I wish they were doing more than 13 eps but I'll take it.

Have they confirmed it? I thought Tuesday is when they announce it.. Maybe the first season can have 13, and then expand to more episodes like Buffy did

All I know about it is what I have read here. I hope for as many eps as possible in future seasons. Sometimes less is more but not with Hayley Atwell!

I think a 12-13 eps series is a great idea. It will allow the show to have a tight plot, and eliminate much of the filler that seemed to have plagued AOS, and I think the creators knew that they must make an immediate impression and I'm sure they will hit the ground rolling from the first episode. Make no mistake about it, it is still a risky decision by ABC to greenlight it, but I'm very happy to see the network taking a leap of faith with this move. If the series becomes a hit, I think Hayley Atwell will become a bigger star in the U.S., and we will get to see more of her in the media and Hollywood.

I actually hope they don't address HYDRA infiltrating SHIELD if only because we already know that they won't be discovered until Winter Soldier. Of course you can do an arc where someone like Stark finds out, but of course you know he gets killed.

I'm all for 13 episode seasons. I think it allows for tighter storylines as others have said. Bigger stars would also be willing to commit to a season if it's really only 13 weeks versus 26.

Hayley Atwell is the lead and the seasons will run 10-12 episodes. That right there gives it a much better chance of being quality television. But even if it isn't good, I will be watching every last second multiply times. It is Hayley Atwell afterall. :)

Won't judge this series until I see a Trailer. and then I might give it a 5 Episode test.

Well Atwells, Agent Carter character has already been established as being a likable and believable heroine, so it has that in it's favor.

There is not one character on Agents of Shield that i like; i gave it about 6 episodes and just couldn't stomach it anymore. It made me not care what had happened to Agent Coulson during the events of The Avengers. I would go as far as to say, that the show imo has tainted the universally liked character of Agent Coulson. Shame too, because the Marvel brand is hotter than ever right now.

So long as they keep the focus on Peggy, and don't pair her with annoying characters just for comic relief it should do just fine.

I don't know about believable, but definitely likable and pretty awesome.

I think Hayley could pass as a lead character of a TV show. I don't really feel the actor playing Coulson as the lead character, then the so-so cast members just gave me a bigger reason to not like the show. You know there are a lot of so-so shows out there, but the cast carries the show and thats why they last for like more than 5 seasons despite the lack of quality. I can't say that to Agents of Shield. The show got better with the Hydra story-arc but still the cast is still bland.

I really hope the regular cast of Agent Carter is way better!
