Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - 3x08 - "Many Heads, One Tale" - Discussion Thread

I don't think so. Seems to be in lock-step with what the Red Skull wanted it to be.

It seemed like Red Skull was trying to take over the world for himself. Pierce and to an extent Zola thought they were saving the world by taking it over. And now all of that was for some Inhuman overlord?

I have no problem with the idea that some heads know some things, other heads know different things, and that Red Skull was just a part of the group. Heck, they've already established that Garrett was working in cybernetics etc, Von Strucker was trying to tap into the mind gem, Whitehall was obsessed with the Obelisk etc. I dont recall them establishing that these heads were really even talking to each other very much about what they were doing.

Are they lining up Ward turning on Malick to save the earth???

Could we actually see Ward back on the team for a bit???

Malick is clearly nuts and why would Ward or anyone want to usher in some alien rule on the planet? Ward is always looking out for Ward. So, he will play along and then use whoever he can to takeout Malick.

Wow, excellent episode. Great action, great reveals, great acting.
I almost screamed at Malick for him to say at least one of the names they call that entity that's been exiled to the planet.
I bet it's revealed on Ep 10.

Maybe it is Dormammu that Malick is talking about & this will tie in with Doctor Strange.

Isn't this "entity" just a really powerful, apparently immortal, Inhuman?

Fitz really can't get a ****ing break can he?

Nah. Dormammu is too big a deal.
Has to be smaller scope, if it's not a newly created character, which is a possibility.

Does anyone here know anything that relates this reveal to anything in the comics? Or at least the very vague history that Hydra has with the third dynasty of Egypt?

It all sounds very interesting and I wanna know everything about it. Hopefully this is something they might actually cover in the show.

Nothing rings a bell as far as an inhuman of tremendous power being exiled.. But it could be something else in the comics and they're making it into an inhuman just for the show

The Unspoken was overthrown by Black Bolt, Gorgon, Karnak, and Medusa, and exiled, his true name stricken from memory.

Looks like they are working towards a fight against an inhuman team created by hydra for who ever is trapped on that planned. Very curious to see how that will go!

Didn't SHIELD hand Absorbing Man over to the government? It would be cool if he was at the ATCU and they got him back into human form. He should definitely be a part of the Hydra super-team.

Oh, and Blizzard as well.

I dont even remember who has the Graviton thingy...is that businessman guy still alive?

Didn't they mention that Giyera will be a good guy?

He'll just keep flip flopping between evil and good. He really is MCU Magneto. :o

Creel was handed over to Talbot.
There's been nothing linking him to the ATCU but since he is part of the US Goverment it wouldn't be much of a stretch for Absorbing Man to have ended up with Malick.
Blizzard though is less likely. He's presumed dead somewhere in the depths of the ocean, it's possible he survived and was brainwashed by them again though... Graviton is with Ian Quinn and he's not really Hydra, he was just temporarily cooperating with Hydra for a bit. I don't think Graviton would be part of a Hydra super squad.

Brainwashed Again? Last we saw him, he was brainwashed, right??? He could have just reached shore and returned to a base.

Blizzard was turned into an Inhuman in the comics. S.H.I.E.L.D. projections indicated that every ocean would contain Terrigen by a certain point. They can always use that to bs a "Hey, Blizzard's back!" story. The Terrigen did it.

There's no need for that. He already had his powers by the time he was "killed", no need for further transformation. If he comes back it's simply because he wasn't really killed after the last time we saw him.

He'd snapped out of it the last time. I don't think Bakshi was able to reactivate him before he was taken out.

Blizzard was an existing supervillain for decades in the comics before they decided to turn him into an Inhuman. IIRC they even gave him some additional power besides just making his ice something he could generate on his own (which he already does in the MCU).

I need some variety. I don't want everybody to be an Inhuman now, simply because they're the new thing in the MCU.

Awesome episode.
Evil Ward was awesome again.
I wonder who is the Hydra's boss/legend.
Poor Andrew though.

They wanted peace and order with fear and ultimate power, Inhuman overlord can do that.
