Not to complain...but can someone explain to me why May would choose to NOT go into stealth mode until the last possible second? Does the ship fly slower in stealth mode or something?

Looks like she was using cloud cover to mask their escape just as they drew their fire and then cloaked the bus, initiating evasive maneuvers.
Can't wait for tonight!

They ejected something after going out of site. Obviously the in-coming missiles are meant to hit those objects and create an explosion, making it seem like they were hit. She then gave the order to cloak, giving Hydra the impression they are have died with the explosion.
