But based on the info that we've gotten, that can't be since it's been said that:

1. "Iron Man 3" takes place 6 months after the events of "The Avengers".

2. "Thor: The Dark World" takes place an year after "The Avengers".

3. And according to Scarlett, "The Winter Soldier" takes place 2 years after "The Avengers".

Hmm well then haha. Is it for sure that Thor is a year after (anyone who saw the movie help?) and I coulda swore I just read Cap kicks off almost right after Avengers? Cause if AoS is going to be effected by Cap then they'd have to skip 2 years this season. I'm thinking since Thor related episode we have Thor happening first then when the Extremis storyline is over on AoS we have IM3 then the end of the season we have Cap 2

Idk just spitballing since I'm still not convinced this is post IM3

Just because people of opposite sexes talk to each other doesn't mean they're a couple or wanna be in a relationship haha.

Try explaining that to fan fiction writers. "Oh this and this character made eye contact for longer than 1.5 seconds? They're totally a couple!" :funny:

From Cobie Smulders, on CATWS:

"It's exciting for me because I get to suit up again but it takes place right after The Avengers, 'The Battle of New York' has just happened."

Anyone out there can feel free to say she's wrong about that, and I won't argue with you. But she sez what she sez.

Thanks Sam that is what I read. I'm thinking maybe the film starts off after Avengers then maybe skips some time? Idk a damn timeline is what I want! I doń want to wait and figure it out !! Haha

That reference to Typhoid Mary obviously means Daredevil is around in the MCU. Also, Grant Ward obviously changed his name. He was originally Frank Castle and someday the mob is going to gun down Skye & their kids. :o

Oh, and the timeline won't matter by phase four. :oldrazz:
They'll have a sliding timescale, just like the comics.

Where is this 6 months after Avengers stuff for IM3 coming from? The official Japanese promotional ads for IM3 state it takes place a year after the Avengers, which is the only instance i know of where it's been officially stated how much time has passed between IM3 and Avengers.

Who says that the whole movie takes place at one time without flashbacks, flash forwards, etc.?

Really? Sure seemed like he was goin' for "Steve Rogers" when he jumped out of that plane without a parachute (completely on). :woot:

Yep. If they don't already.

Calling it now. In the next episode:

Ward: Do you think the A on my forehead stands for France?!
Skye: ... what A?
:oldrazz:

Yeah, no idea why there was that line about no parachute when he had one (and used it). Maybe the episode originally called for him to jump without one & then have Coulson fly Lola down to save them both.

This was an excellent episode, better than all the others by a country mile. Finally the SHIELD agents got some much-needed development. Clark Gregg was simply brilliant in Coulson's very emotional moments. He and Ming-Na Wen are knocking it out of the park every week, but this episode gave them better material to work with.

It was great to see the Science Kids in some good scenes, too. Both Elizabeth Henstridge and Iain de Caestecker are fine actors and they shined once given a well-written script. Fitz & Simmons' relationship is starting to have the depth it so far lacked. At last they've grown into real people, instead of just nerdy background noise. I actually cared about what was happening to Simmons, something that wouldn't have been true a couple of episodes ago.

Agent Blake looks like he might develop into a major bureaucratic pain in the ass for Coulson. He touched Lola! That was a shot right across Phil's bow. :woo

What about the Avengers who fought the Chitauri hand to hand, wouldn't they have been exposed to this same virus also, so it should have already been known?

The Chitauri that carried the virus was probably one of the random ones that dropped dead after the mothership got nuked.

What does a "sliding timescale like the comics" mean? I'm not a comic reader.

The Marvel Universe has been going for over fifty years in real time, but in-universe they keep altering things so that there hasn't actually been over fifty years since, say, Peter Parker received a bite from a radioactive spider.

Well I'm just saying Scarlett was apparently quoted in saying that the events of WS take place 2 years after the events of "The Avengers". I think you can find the link to that article if you go to her thread in the WS section.

Plus, it's not difficult to believe that the end of AOS could tie into the opening for WS since AOS should be done by early May for its first season.

I believe Kevin Feige said that it took place 6 months after "The Avengers".

Plus, if you think about it..assuming if the avengers took place around may as well, then 6 months after that would be November, which would be perfect for the Christmas time that we saw in the film.

Ah i see. I guess I've always kinda just figured time goes on like normal but the characters don't age or something lol.

I hear ya Herolee. Guess its just a wait and see for the timeline of phase 2 not that it really matters haha.

i don't remember Feige saying that. The only thing I remember eve addressing where IM3 takes place is the Japanese promos and they say it's one year after.

I do; I believe it came out in the Entertainment Weekly Article when we first got our batch of several new Iron Man 3 photos...one of them was the shot of Pepper looking fondly at Tony, who she thought was int he Iron Man suit.

Great episode. Really went a long way in developing Fitz and Simmons as characters and furthering their relationship with each other.

Even Ward got some development this episode. In the middle of the episode, he talks about how he's so used to have some bad guy to punish, but doesn't know what to do in a situation that he doesn't have any control over.

And who was the one that took the chance to come to Jemma's rescue after she jumped out of the plane?

This show is slowly but surely starting to find its footing. I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses from here.

avoiding spoilers but was this ep pretty good? Might not get to watch it until tomorrow.

Great episode. I actially cared about them for once.

It's a very good episode. I think it was the best yet. There is a lot of great character development, especially for Coulson, May, Simmons & Fitz. The show is finally making these characters seem like real people the audience can care about.
