I loved that! The stupid, stunned look on Skye's face was priceless. It needed to be said because the second she appeared on camera this week she kept talking talking talking and saying not a damned thing of consequence. Unfortunately, the writer only shut Skye up briefly. She was right back to blathering a few minutes later.

Another thing I liked was that Ward turned down Skye's offer to talk when they met in the bar. Instead, he ended up in May's bed because neither one of them is fond of talking about feelings. They didn't need sympathy, they needed comfort.

:lmao:

Best part of the series right here...finally someone told her to ****

Her puppy eyes were too much for Ward to handle :)

Ward handled her just fine. He bit her damned head off and spit it back out. He might have kept on going if poor Fitz hadn't interrupted. Later on Ward rejected Skye's further attempts to talktalktalk it out. The ending of the episode was great but the reaction online was even better. It blew a lot of fans away, which is a good thing.

Hmm, I didn't really get that at all. In fact, I felt that this episode was the most Marvel of all of the episodes yet. Felt like it fit perfectly into the universe whereas many of the others felt off. I didn't feel that the humor was overdone like in the last episode and they had some really nice character moments. All in all, this was a fantastic episode in my opinion.

I just personally didnt think it fit with the tone of the series so far, rather than the MCU as a whole, and IMO they chose a terrible pick to play an Asgardian, good actor, poor fit for the role IMO. But yeah this just seemed so out there compared to the rest of the series so far to me.

I have liked the series so far, but the last 2 episodes have been a bit poor IMO, wont stop me coming back next week of course.

^Yeah it added a new element to the character, although the acting was questionable to me, and I havent thought his acting was bad previously. But, a lot of this cast are still learning.

I just view it in the same vein as Buffy back in 2007. Most of that cast sans Anthony Stewart Head weren't vets in the acting world. Right now the only ones that have massive acting experience are probably Clark Gregg and Ming-Na.

And Ming Na was the only good part of the Street Fighter movie.

And that was 1997, my fault.

mmh I think I didn't use the proper wordings hence your misunderstanding.
I wanted to say that Ward latched out on her because he also got sick of her puppy eyes and begging stare.

So ....Ward and May are doing the wild thing??:wow:

That knocked me over.......

Just watched the episode .....

If more were like that, I don't think this show has ratings issues. I think it tied perfectly into the MCU without such heavily reliance on references. The berserker raging was a little bit cheesy at times ...... but loved that scene where Peter McNichols catches/bends Ward's knife. Speaking of that moment, they mentioned vibranium so it's clear there's more out there than Cap's SHIELD. Obviously long suspected and will likely play a large role in A:AOU.

Live and same-day up to 3 AM DVR viewing are counted in the Nielsen overnights. However, if you don't have a Nielsen meter(s) in your home your viewing doesn't count towards the ratings at all, no matter when you watch. Regular cable boxes and satellite setups don't report to the ratings company.

I am aware of that but was too tired to elaborate. The main thing is that if you are a Nielsen viewer and you watch something on DVR it probably won't count. I have seen live +3 day and live + 7 day ratings posted before however that FAQ makes it clear it doesn't count at all.(since the overnights already count the DVR to 3AM)

I'm forgiving of Skye's chatterbox tendencies for a simple reason: She probably hasn't had anyone to talk to for a long time. Her only form of communication was her Rising Tide podcasts. So I understand her motormouth nature.

Ah, okay! Sorry. We were on the same page all along. :cwink:

The C3 ratings do count, however. C3 ratings are ratings for the commercial minutes in a program viewed up to 3 days after broadcast. Commercial rates are set by using the C3 ratings data, not the L+SD or L+7 data that sites like tvbythenumbers report. The networks and Nielsen do not release the C3 ratings to the public, so we have no way of knowing how AOS or any other show is doing. The C3 numbers would give a better indication of how AOS's renewal chances are faring than the L+SD ratings.

Skye had her scruffy boyfriend Miles to talk to, so she wasn't isolated at all. She also had a tendency to accost people like poor Mike Peterson and talk nonsense at them, plus the Internet as an outlet, so I doubt she lacked for people to annoy with her incessant chatter.

Looks like Melinda May is going through the whole team. Fitz is probably next.

That's overstating things a bit. Just because there is some info we don't have doesn't mean we have no way of knowing. If you look at the spoiler TV cancellation table:

http://www.spoilertv.com/2013/09/spoilertv-cancellation-predictor-table.html

the show is currently deep in the green(safe) zone

and the predictor was very accurate last year

http://www.spoilertv.com/2012/09/the-spoilertv-cancellation-predictor.html

- The top 29 shows predicted to be cancelled, were cancelled.
- The top 28 shows predicted to be renewed, were renewed.

they did that without the C3 numbers.

Given that they didn't really show what happened in "The Well" I guess we're going back to that story, eventually.

Since Ward acted like there was some traumatic event there, there must be more to the story than Ward sneaking the rope to his brother.

Ward's brother is going to become a super villain in the show.Calling it now.

Nooo! I don't want Taskmaster to be a sadistic asshat.

Why would their having sex be unprofessional? They were off the clock and both of them are equal in rank, so it's not as if one of them was taking advantage of a subordinate. And they're spies. The profession is almost synonymous with casual sex. It would be unprofessional if none of them were having quickies here and there. May & Ward were just carrying on an old SHIELD tradition.

(Cue the Herb Alpert and Astrud Gilberto music, stat!)

Co-workers........equal in rank or not, should not be shagging. That is indeed unprofessional.
