Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents Of SHIELD - Episode2.19 - The Dirty Half Dozen

Maybe, that's a good point. I also wonder what the hell Simmons is holding in her hand. It kinda looks like those disks Hydra used to turn people into ash when they had those mercs dress up like Shield.

Very possible. Although, I'm not sure since they showed the gang in a Quinnjet in the episode preview.

I also noticed that Jemma had that disk in her hand. I was questioning what it was too. Was Jemma brainwashed when she infiltrated Hydra?

I don't think so. Whitehall and Bakshi talked about doing it if needed, but that was before she "saved" Bakshi when Skye was using the sniper rifle on the boat. Also, I forgot about the disk shaped flashbang grenades Shield used way back in season one. It could just be one of those.

jemma and fitz with a gun are behind ward, they don't need to be brain washed to get him in the back, motive enough for that though jemma brain washed could be a good one.

I think that Bakshi is loyal to Ward or at least seems to appear to in the promo. I think Ward's endgame is to destroy Hydra. Hydra is the greatest threat to Ward and Kara. With Hydra gone they can stop looking over their shoulders. Also, Shield can provide background on Kara / Agent 33 for her to heal. Shield can let them disappear and not bother them again. Question is: Will Kara begin to become loyal to Shield again?

Why would HYDRA waste time and resources to find one traitor? They have more important things to do, like fighting the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D.

Coulson got a bit of information of him this season which did them damage. That would be a practical reason for them plug that leak, melodrama revenge aside.

i think coulson is pulling a con. I think he thinks there is a traitor in NUSHIELD.

I think it's Gonzales himself

We have not seen baldy lately. I guess the excuse would be hes still recovering & baldy actor never plays good guys

himself, weaver, 12 monkeys and mac have a thing about powered people. knowingly or unknowingly could be collecting them for list yeah get why you think he could be hydra.

Con or not that scene is some neck from coulson.

i get the 12 monkeys reference-really like12 monkeys even if i don't understand it half the time-but i don't think it's him

^^^^ Gonzales is the biggest hypocrite

Notice how he constantly has a look of disapproval whenever someone goes against his orders, despite his claims of trying to uphold a system of democracy.

Gonzales is so obsessed in bringing down Coulson that he has forgotten HYDRA. As I've said before, it could be his downfall.

Either way, it seems he temporarily acquiesces to Coulson given that they do attack the Hydra base and with what the preview clip shows us.

And then he'll go back to obsessing over taking Coulson down after Hydra.

What will the reunion with Ward look like on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? — Ralph
Remember when Simmons vowed to kill Ward? She may finally make good on that promise—or at least try to. “Simmons meant what she said,” Elizabeth Henstridge tells me. “She hates him so much. He did the worst thing possible to her and took away the most precious thing in her life, which is Fitz.” In that case, do it!

It leads right into ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’

And not just because “The Dirty Half-Dozen” is capped off with a clip from the movie. Not only are there a few nifty Easter eggs to look forward to, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 19 spells out exactly how the conflicts of the show will impact the Avengers – and even why it all happens in the first place.

The gang’s all here, and they’re not happy

Yes, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 19 does include a “reunion” of the show’s “original six,” as it were. Coulson, May, Skye, Fitz, Simmons, and Ward do go on a mission together, and they do manage to work as a team. (Mostly.)

But fans shouldn’t expect old grievances to disappear – not even close. The deja vu of their reunion stirs up ugly feelings for those who have been hurt by Ward; eventually, those feelings go beyond words into a physical confrontation which will leave viewers hearts pounding.
The Gonzales thing is becoming a problem

“The Dirty Half-Dozen” makes it clearer than ever before that Coulson and Gonzales are very well-matched as foes. Both men have elaborate plots in play, and both are keeping secrets from people they claim to trust. Gonzales and Coulson each seem confident that they have the upper hand as they advance their pieces across the metaphorical chessboard, but viewers will be less sure who is really winning.
Especially as their vastly divergent goals threaten to poke holes in their trusted officers – and even S.H.I.E.L.D. itself.
Someone switches sides – sort of

Many characters on the show inhibit various shades of gray, but Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2, episode 19 makes an interesting change for one of these independent agents. By the end of the episode, this character finds him/herself back in the ranks of S.H.I.E.L.D. – apparently permanently. The new development brings another strong personality to the Playground, and opens up several intriguing options for future episodes
Theta Protocol is revealed

The outlines of oft-teased Theta Protocol, which Coulson has been keeping oppressively secret, appear to become evident by at the end of “The Dirty Half-Dozen.” And though the details and implications are vague, we’ll just say that Theta is much bigger than we were expecting.
Oh, and someone dies

Not everybody makes it out of Team Coulson’s mission alive – and it’s pretty shocking to see exactly what goes down.

So 3 questions from those

1 - Who gets bumped off a - Mike

2 - Who switches back to SHIELD a - Frakkin Ward

3 - Who decides to X Ward (cos its got to be him) a - Simmons (with Skye then giving him the shakes)

I wonder if Simmons' splinter bomb misses Ward and hits Mike, that'd certainly be a very stressful development for her, wouldn't it?

Looks like the episode ends with a bit of the raid on Hydra scene from AoU.
