Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents Of SHIELD - Episode2.19 - The Dirty Half Dozen

That single shot scene of Skye kicking major ass made her that much more sexy.

any chance we can get a gif of that gun fight scene?

I was kind of shocked they chose to spotlight Skye that way. I would have thought May was the one that would do something like that. Badass none the less.

Well, if Skye is set to truly become Daisy Johnson, having a badass action sequence under her belt will help with that. :D

It sure will. I'm glad she has powers.

Fun fact:
She and Matt Murdock grew up in the same orphanage (St. Agnes). What must that place be feeding those kids? I half expect to here Skye talk about her friend from the orphanage "Shang-Chi" in the future.

I also thought Maria's face when Coulson told her that Gonzalez puts everything to a vote was very well acted.

I liked Bobbi chuckling to herself at Coulson's "Oops, spoiler alert" remark.

Coulson's "spoiler alert" to Gonzalez :lmao:. I've been waiting for the moment Gonzalez and his little "democracy" would be told that Fury is still alive and I wasn't disappointed.

I'm still trying to figure out where solid/verified information on this came from (if it even exists....so maybe someone here can help...)
The *only* time St. Agnes is mentioned by name in Daredevil is in reference to a daycare or some type of school program (that Matt & Foggy are trying to get a client's kid into). The Orphanage that Matt ended up at, as far as I can tell, is *never* stated by name nor is a name seen on screen. I doubt New York is the only place in the country with a St. Agnes location (heck, type it into google maps and you've got St. Agnes academies in Nebraska and Tennessee, schools in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, hospitals in various states, cathedrals, etc...)
All I'm saying, unless I'm missing something somewhere (an interview perhaps?), I don't know if I would take that as a '100%-for-sure' connection

That was funny.

Hers an easy way to fix the ward issue

Coulson is sitting at his computer. suddenly an e-mail pops up from Garrett.

it is adrressed to Fury but copies to Hill and Coulson.

it contains a video file. It shows Ward being brainwashed to only accept orders from Garrett. then Garrett says he programmed the e-mail to get sent once every year unless he stopped it(or words to this effect). because of the upheavel that happened to shields computers the e-mail was not sent until now. Garrett made this several years ago to absolve Ward. I don't think the Garret we know would make this but he might if it was several years ago and he was (then) feeling sorry for what he did to Ward.

i'm sure there are some holes or refinings that could be done by the shows writers but this scenario might work-it's as plausible as anything else on this show-lol

They're not going to resort to brainwashing to absolve Ward just as much as they never really planned to use the TAHITI mindwipe on him. His redemption, should it ever happen, will come, as Churchill would say, from much blood, toil, tears and sweat on his part and probably a bit of help from his brother Thomas.

No, I think you're right here, this is a non-connection that became a connection due to the viral natural of the Internet.

i suspect your correct-but i see no other way he would be truly accepted.he can work his way back into their good graces little by little but would that really absolve him from his prior sins-i think not-to bad because i like Wards character

For people like Grant, redemption is a never-ending quest. Faith took more or less the same self-destructive path he did in Buffy and Angel and while she did eventually get accepted again as an ally by Buffy before that show came to a close redemption is still what motivates her in the comic book series that continues the Buffyverse story.

I have postulated this before: The new spin-off to feature Bobbi and Hunter with Kara and Ward. I would now add on Mac. This makes sense to me. First, Kara is in love with Ward and will probably feel indebted to Ward for helping her recover from Whitehall's abuse. I could see her confronting Coulson after nuShield's end to bring Ward back in the fold. From this Simmons' actions could come to light.

Then the new series will start with 4 of the five having to learn to forgive the others (Bobbi, Hunter, Ward and Mac). All of them learning to grow as people; especially Ward. I could see Hunter being a good counselor for Ward, teaching Ward that bad things happen to everybody. This combination just makes too much sense to me. Especially since it has already been said that the new show will feature Bobbi and Hunter.

Man, Skye was awesome in this. And over at Arrow, Black Canary is still beating thugs with a Police baton. Sigh...

Not to mention that a quick Wikipedia search tells me that Agnes of Rome is the patron saint of (among other things) girls. Highly doubt that boys would be getting sent to such a place. Maybe if I'd been a quarter as good a Catholic as Matt I'd have remembered that...

Besides Skye's action scene, that was probably one of the best moments in the episode. Seeing him get played like that by Coulson was just total joy in that it showed off Coulson's credibility as the SHIELD Director and how petty Gonzalez has been. Plus, showing off Maria Hill contacting Phil was like adding further insult to injury for Gonzalez.

The scene when Ward is briefing the team on the mission was hilarious to me especially Simmons line about how Sky should have aimed for the face when she shot him. Lol
