yeah it was Fury's car chase... from TWS, it even had a screen pop up that said "New York City" before.. trying to make it look like part of the episode.

It's funny, I still enjoy the show for what it is - haven't missed an ep, etc (even if a lot of those viewings have been weeks-late DVR'ing), but boy was this a different show in my head.

I don't know what I was expecting - I'm not a comic reader, for the most part - but I was definitely picturing something much more "everyman" than what the show actually is. Not exactly The Office or Veep, but certainly focused on more of the "clean-up crew" aspect of the show that it seemed like was being pitched early on, where you really see these agents as the unsung heroes who have to go to ridiculous lengths to keep the goings-on of these supers a secret and then go home to a real life and/or family where no one can know what you do or who you work for. Something about that premise tickled me, especially as the stakes keep getting raised and the "incidents" become harder to cover-up.

Who knows, maybe there's still room for a one-shot or Netflix series like that someday, but I will say that I'm (mostly) enjoying the journey this show is actually taking and being constantly surprised by it. It's finding its legs, for sure.

Sometimes, in order to build a new thread, that means tearing down the old one....and that makes enemies.

What you (and I) are waiting for is called Damage Control. :awesome:

I wonder if there'll be more small scenes like that next episode
Anybody who's watched it yet can you think of any moments in cap2 (big or small) that could possibly be viewed from the 616 teams perspective( or side characters) and not majorly spoil the movie?

Glad I decided to keep giving this show a chance, recent Eps have been really good and the characters are becoming much more interesting.

Just had a thought but has anyone wondered if Quinn is the Fixer?

Its just that a while back people were wondering about Mentallo and Fixer is his cohort and it just occurred to me what does a Fixer do if we go by the standard name for one?

So that just leaves explaining Nash..
if he was in the Index then he has abilities what if this was all set up so Ward would shoot him so he'll be turned into Modok?

So rather than having Brad Dourif play a cameo role he's about to become the voice of Modok?

i think Quinn is part of Roxxon... there have been too many references to roxxon in the series.. i was checking marvel wiki, and there was a character called Ian who was a senior person in Roxxon (very loose correlation, but could be like mike peterson/collins)
maybe it will be revealed that quinn international is a part of roxxon

good work vartha on changing the thread title.. now we are all are maria hill's clearance level

Just because they're preparing a season 2 doesn't mean that when season 1 is done it won't be complete. While Joss Whedon was working on The Avengers he was thinking up ideas for Avengers 2. In fact, before he even started filming he knew that he wanted Ultron to be the villain in the sequel.

From the article posted last page...

Jed Whedon told TV Guide that the ABC drama's first season finale - airing May 13 in the US - will not wrap everything "up in a little bow".

Was there an end scene after the commercial break, after Hand said "he's mine!"? It just ended there for me.

I missed it too if there was, I haven't rewatched it yet
Here's the scene. like JB & Spidey said, they attached the scene as if it were part of the episode/their standard 'pre-credit stinger' (that they've been doing since ep.2) with the location scrawl and what not (though this video doesn't show it because I think the frame has been cropped slightly - though you can 'hear' it) - so the implication being that the events of ep16 are now overlapping/coinciding with the events of TWS... and that Fury's not going to make that meeting with Coulson

Thanks for that.

So if you hadn't seen TWS, it would almost be like Fury cameoed in AoS again and they filmed an action scene for the show too.

For those people who have seen CA:TWS (and even if you haven't), here is a question about AoS:

Whom do you trust in this show (regulars or guest stars)? Who would you say is safe as being definitely one of the good guys?

I suppose Coulson is really the only definite one at the moment.

[blackout]Sitwell lol nope[/blackout]
Blake - purely because I find him hilarious, but also why would he get kicked in?
FitzSimmons - they're too SHIELD cheerleaderey to be anti-SHIELD
Garrett - again, love the character, would hate for him to be rogue
Triplett - same as Garrett really, want to see more of him
Maria Hill - because, you know why haha
Sif :woot:

Big question mark on May and Ward for me. Likewise Skye, we don't even know who she is
Oh and obviously Coulson is trustworthy

The photos for episode 18 indicate otherwise for Garrett.

I think Fitz and Simmons actions have been questionable at times. Example, Simmons kept wanting to send the sample to Shields labs, with Coulson repeatedly telling her no. Also when Fitz called her on the "secure line", she said his name, and he scolded her for it, while saying her name. It seemed he was trying to pit the team against each other the way he went about telling Skye.

Fitz was too geniunely surprised to find the extra line I think. In a moment was he was alone, and had no reason be acting.

That's why I think all of Coulson's team is clear. They've all been in too much geniune danger, and reacted too real when they were all alone and had no reason to try to foll anybody to be moles.
