Blame it on the producers....they removed the filmed scenes of Zod, Ursa, and Non being taken away by police in the end....look up deleted scenes.

Apparently this is why non US members discussing this issue can't understand our position here. It seems the "final scene" with the arctic police (?) take Zod and co. away was broadcast overseas and never here...

They never saw Zod and co. get "killed" and left in the arctic.

Watching Watchmen right now, hot damn, what a wonderfully directed opening sequence. Just excellent, brutal fight choreography, cinematography, sound effects all to the background of "Unforgettable." I can appreciate Snyder's style is not for everyone but....hot damn. This makes me so pumped for this movie and JL.

To be fair, Richard Donner had the chance to recut his movie, and still killed them. He also made Superman bully a guy that didn't know him because of a feud from a past that didn't exist anymore lol.
