They were ready, but there was indisputable turmoil going down between BvS release and JL filming. Both his films were critical disappointments, one of which was heavily panned, and both made considerably less than what WB wanted. If JL didn't start a month after BvS was released, he's making that Ayn Rand movie as we speak.

So you were in these meetings too were you? Or you also have a crystal ball that allows you to see alternate timelines?

And NO I'm not saying WBs were happy with the critical response nor am I say they didn't expect more money for BvS but people not to stop acting like they know everything and what would have happened if so and so didn't etc.

What I am saying is the facts are like it or not the DC properties are making money at the box officials de and on home video (which people live to ignore) and that's partly due to Zack Snyder.

Did you actually bother to read what I posted about the 4chan rumours? Or the fact that people were discussing the possibility of those rumours been true? Nobody was saying they were true. Go back and read the posts!

Rumours are there is a 'massive' reveal of someone in the trailer so yes, best avoided...watched the 15 secs, that was solid.

I really would love to watch a modern Superman movie where we get to see a little bit more of the Clark Kent persona and Superman taking on a less "apocalyptic" threat. Bizarro would be cool too. Just let the audience hang out with the characters. Let them experience the Metropolis lifestyle and what kind of impact Superman has on it. Show us Superman doing Superman things. Even if it's just saving a cat out of a tree. Not everything has to be catastrophic. Explore his social relationships and show him being an active crime fighter. Don't be afraid of making him simply investigate a crime. Do something different, but at the same time recognizable as a Superman story. Not everything has to be about saving the world against aliens with a big, boring, messy third act. Make a smart movie and don't go formulatic.

This is basically what i wish for a Superman movie. And if they use Bizarro, make him funny and dangerous at the same time. That would be perfect. Don't just go the evil clone root. Make him more complex.

That sounds a lot like a TV show that is currently airing on the CW network and had previously aired on CBS.

Really looking forward to Wonder Woman.

Wonder Woman is the only one I really care about at this point. But I am also interested in Gotham City Sirens later on.

Oh lord! You don't like him fine, you don't like the movies fine but regardless of what you think they were both succesful movies for the studio.

Successful, but also disappointing. Which sounds contradictory, but there you go.

JL was ready for production righ after BvS.

Because of (arguably) poor planning, not due to DOJ's success (or lack thereof).

Why is the WW trailer debuting on a children's television channel the same weekend Kong comes out, and not have it attached to Kong? Makes zero sense and seems like a blatant marking blunder.

It's a film & character to (hopefully) empower and inspire a female audience, a good place to start that process is with young girls who will ask their parents to go and see it with them, that to me is sensible marketing.

Great point! Hopefully it does show that the film's are gonna start to cater to younger demographics as well. WW being marketing to young girls gives me hope we can actually get more women enjoying this kind of stuff.

I feel real jaded by these guys, and the timing seems really wonky with Kong. Hopefully I'm just being overly cynical on this one.

Almost everyone whose negative about the DCEU is cynical, it's ridiculous and to me echoes Joe Manganello's comments about how "bat-"crap"" crazy the media is, and how many of you are just buying these ridiculous conclusions that every known media outlet has run into.

I never know whether to show Empathy to the stupidity or just laugh at the ridiculousness of it...ahh what the hell, I'll laugh anyways

Critically disapointing and as I said regardless of how much they wanted to make they still made a ton of money. The Ultinate Cut of BvS was a major hit on hone video but as I said people ignore that.

We'll find out the answer in November.
