All Things DCEU News, Discussion, and Speculation - Part 3

I wanna see Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) and Booster Gold on the big screen!

Nah, I find both characters pretty lame. Rather have DC focus on building up cooler and more interesting B list characters!

Please, make it stop! I'm tired of hearing about WB "developing" a new DCEU movie every other month.

You could just stop visiting the nerd sites if it upsets you so much.

What's funny is that now WB has two and possibly three projects that are supposedly under development (Gotham City Sirens, Harley v. Joker: Dawn of Madness and Suicide Squad 2) that all center around Harley Quinn. I liked Margot's Harley more or less but again, this seems to be another case of WB just grasping at the best part of a terrible movie. They did it with Affleck after BvS too. Their rationale for everything seems to be, "Well, people didn't hate [insert character here]! Let's build our cinematic universe around him/her!"

Talk about knee jerk reactions.

Reports are that Killer Frost will replace Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad 2. So the only confirmed one is Gotham City Sirens.

Man of Steel 2
Justice League 2
Cyborg
Green Lantern Corps
The Flash
Justice League Dark
Lobo
Wonder Woman 2
Batman
Nightwing
Batgirl
Gotham City Sirens
Harley v Joker
Suicide Squad 2
Deadshot
Black Adam
Shazam
Blue Beetle & Booster Gold

What am I missing

I would dump Lobo and Deadshot, maybe even Cyborg, and do a Supergirl movie instead. Maybe a Catwoman too depending on how Gotham City Sirens does. Supergirl and Catwoman deserve a good movie.
Booster Gold is to be a stand-alone movie not part of the DCEU.

Flashpoint caught me off guard.

Damn, man. Still not a second Supes solo film with Cavill.

I'm pretty skeptical there's gonna be a MOS sequel at this point. I could see Cavill's Superman possibly appearing in other people's films, but I just don't think WB is willing to pull the trigger...on a sequel at least.

A reboot , on the other hand, with a new lead and new director, I could see, but I doubt even that would come anytime soon.

I like the Flashpoint idea.

Bummed at no MOS 2 announcement. Flashpoint has me intrigued though. It seems they are going to use hat event to change a few things in the DCCU

Any release dates for these movies? I'm interested to know about WW2.

Is this the order they will come out, or is this just your order?

And is Flashpoint the Flash movie? Or is there another Flash movie in addition to this?

Expect there to be more changes to the slate between now and Aquaman.

Find it hard to be hyped when there is no dates and there plan has fallen through before.

I like flashpoint and hopefully it conviently changes a lot of the stuff

This I kind of agree with. Seems odd to announce so many films in development without more concrete plans.

As far as we know only Aquaman and (I guess) Shazam are really on the "it's happening" slate.

If they want to retcon away BvS and Justice League (if not Man of Steel and Suicide Squad) while keeping Wonder Woman and some of the cast/world building, I'd just as soon they tell everyone those movies didn't count instead of an in-universe retcon. Although if you did want to do a Flashpoint movie, I suppose there's no better way to give it significant consequences than to undo some major stuff you already wanted to undo, anyway. I'd just rather be able to ignore BvS than be like, "It happened, but then it didn't happen," so any way that could be possible would be nice.

So is Flashpoint going to be Justice League 1.5 or a Flash solo? How were these DC titles announced? I didn't get to watch it. The order doesn't seem to correlate with release dates, since we know Batgirl and Shazam are next in production. Sad to see MoS the only DCEU movie not announced for a sequel......... :(

Otherwise a good slate.... ps Gotham City Sirens is missing too. ???

WB can throw names in a bucket all they want. Given the lack of 2018 combined with ~12 projects in the pipe, I need some receipts.

I didn't expect this out of Comic Con though, they didn't have to give this list. Just the JL trailer, some Aquaman discussion, and the WW2 announcement. Nothing else was necessary.

If history is anything to go by I wouldn't put money on that slate being kept.

You know, I'm actually shocked that Cavill wasn't there to help build hype for the movie. I knew he wasn't announced with the rest if he cast, but I thought everyone was just being coy.

He's busy filming at the moment isn't he?

It's hard to say in general, but it's at least possible that Flash(point) and Green Lantern Corps are there not because they're any further along in development than Gotham City Sirens, but because they were on the previous official list and taking them off might make it look like they were cancelled. If so, though, that's pretty much a death knell for Cyborg's solo.

I'm kind of surprised that Justice League Dark made the list, but I'll take it.

How many times have DC changed this future lineup now? And I am disappointed that there is no MOS2.
