I agree but there are some fans who are still unaware that anything has not quite gone to plan yet with the DCEU's inception, and words from people involved in the creative process might carry more weight for them.
Well, I still find that confusing. Most of these people are just saying the films weren't critical darlings, audience favorites, and box office record breakers. I would think most fans who would care enough to pay attention to this sort of news would know this stuff already.
Like why is it important for Geoff Johns to admit that DCEU films haven't been unequivocal successes due to complaints about tone and characterization? These criticisms have been swirling about these films for years. Do people really think entertainment executives live in some sort of bubble and care nothing about critics or box office?
I don't know why it's suddenly significant that these people are speaking candidly about the DCEU. Did anyone expect Geoff Johns to go around proclaiming BvS a blockbuster masterpiece? No one was doing that, so why is it important to come out of the closet, as it were, about transparently obvious facts?
