Allegedly a character from Young Justice will be appearing in the DCEU soon.

Interesting. Aqualad is a possibility in the Aquaman movie, I guess.

It's apparently for an as of yet undated DCEU film, so it's not any Aqua or Wonder related characters since those movies already have release dates. These 12 characters were the ones listed (as a hint):

Kid Flash
Miss Martian
Artemis
Speedy
Rocket
Beast Boy
Blue Beetle
Guardian
Wonder Girl
Impulse
Static
Lagoon Boy

Edit: Wonder Girl and Lagoon Boy can be eliminated due to reasons I stated above. Miss Martian, Speedy and Artemis can also be eliminated due to their mentors not yet existing in the DCEU. Beast Boy can be eliminated due to Titans and Guardian can be eliminated due to not fitting the "fun" description.

That leaves Kid Flash, Impulse, Blue Beetle, Static and Rocket. Hmmm

The article already narrowed it down to Blue Beetle since he's had significant presence across multiple shows and movies
+ is currently blacklisted from appearing on the CW. I didn't realize they retconned the scarab to be magic based.

Yeah Rebirth made it magic based, at least according to Dr Fate. I don't think it'll stick though because that gets rid of Jaime's biggest rogues (ie The Reach, Black Beetle, K.D.R.A.) and goes against iconic outside media appearances (YJ; Injustice 2...etc).

Where's my Blue Beetle/Booster Gold (obviously w/ Ted Kord) movie?
Possibly WITHOUT Greg Berlanti's involvement, thank you.

The Wonder Woman 2 thread is getting OT so I'm going to post my slate here:

Aquaman (post-)

Shazam (pre-)
Nightwing (director+script attached, low on CGI)
SS2 (scheduled to start filming in the summer)
WW2 (scheduled to start filming in the summer, pushing it up to Nov says they're confident)
---Batgirl? Dunno what Whedon is doing in 2018.

I think The Batman and Flashpoint could film in late 2018 but not be ready until 2020. I'd round 2020 off with MOS2 and Green Lantern Corps.

NO idea where Gotham City Sirens fits in, if at all. I'd put it in 2019 since Ayer is not doing anything in 2018 but that's 6 DC films. Not that it matters? These films will release when they're ready, not sit on a completed film and say "oh we can't release it cause there's already too many DC films this year."

I think a factor would be the number of MCU and XCU films also due to be released in that same year (I don't know how many that is). In your scenario above we could conceivably end up with ten or so superhero blockbusters. The last thing any of those studios want to do is kill the market.

Yes, this is key. 2018 and 2019 are both going to be precarious years for Hollywood because there's a laughably absurd number of huge movies coming out then. There's a very real danger of over saturating the market.

Massive news breaking on the Affleck scenario....

[BLACKOUT]Ben out / Jake Gyllenhaal is in. [/BLACKOUT]

Fair enough, am jumping ahead a little, besides, I want Ben to stay.

I like Gyllenhaal a lot. Especially love him in Prisoners and Donnie Darko. But Bruce Wayne? I'm not sure. That being said, if Reeves picks him, I won't dismiss this choice. He's a confident filmmaker and I trust him.

Reeves can do whatever he wants.. just give me an excellent DCEU film.

Just give me an excellent Batman film. **** DCFU.

Well yeah I agree but it's not going away soon.

I just want to say that I still hold out hope for a Sacrifice type storyline involving the DCEU characters, mainly WW/Supes.

Anyone know who Jeremy Conrad is? He had something interesting to say about Justice League Dark.

Yeah I also recall it was Del Toro. He even talked about it at WonderCon.

That's right. My brain was visually confusing me lol they look too much alike
