I had a similar experience NextNolan22. One guy yelled "Yeah" a few times to be funny , but it got the crowd into cheering a couple times. There was a big round of applause. At the very least the general audience is satisfied and Superman is going to have another good run.

This was incredible. I'm baffled by the critics low ratings. Some things could of been developed more , but overall it was a very satisfying film experience. There was some heavy drama and I almost got choked up a couple times. However the films does have a couple laughs.

 Where would you rank among your favorite CBMs?

Really enjoyed this film a LOT ... at least 8.5/10 ... would be higher, but pacing issues and some dialogue issues hold it back. The last 30 minutes was crazy stuff.

Can't really put it in perspective among other Comic Book movies, since so fresh in my mind ... but it doesn't feel like a 'rotten' movie AT ALL.

Without going into spoilers, how long are the scenes with Clark/Supes in the arctic. Where he finds the suit and tries to fly?

Agreed. The pacing for me was way better after seeing it a second time. There were a few dialogue spots I didn't like as much but man the experience the second time was great. I rated it 8.5/10 as well.
1. TDK
2. MOS

:woot:

My screening got an extensive round of applause. Even though I figured there was no post-credits scene, me and my GF just stayed and talked to people and they were just so pumped after it was over. I even saw kids running up and down the theater with their little Superman suits and capes just excited that Superman was back.

My GF, who is a Marvel fangirl, even went as far as to say MOS surpassed the first Iron Man as her favorite CBM ever(to date).

That's so cool!

I took my family. Sister & hubby, My best man (cousin) and his lady, my parents and of course my honey. They all loved it. It really meant a lot to me to have my family support me and my fandom like they did.

I have another viewing in an hour so I'll be back :supes:

I thought the tornado scene was handled excellently!!! The way Clark looked like he was just about to
rush towards Pa Kent to save him and Pa just held his hand up to tell him no
such a powerful scene! And the flashback scene at the end with
young Clark with the towel cape and Pa watching him
I started to tear up. My wife teared up 3 or 4 times and full out cried when Jor and Lara were putting Clark in the ship(we have a 10 month old so that was a powerful scene for both of us). I honestly LOVED this movie!!! I just hope this does lead into the DCU and at the very least a sequal and these stupid mixed reviews don't hold wb back!!

The GA is going to eat this movie up. Well, I'm off to the midnight showing. :D

i can't wait to do a personal cut of this movie...

i feel confident that i can cut out most of the krypton stuff in the opening without missing anything crucial to the story, and since that was the part i liked least i'll be able to enjoy the movie more.

I have to see it a couple more times , but right now it's close to The Dark Knight , Iron Man , and Spider-man 2 . They may be technically better in some aspects. Not sure really because this film gave me what I wanted.

Caught the 7pm Walmart screening. I enjoyed it. Still processing everything, and I will see it again this weekend, but at the moment I think I am leaning towards 7.5, maybe 8 out of 10.

It's so cool to finally be able to click on these spoiler tags!!

There you have it, some posts make it seem
Clark didn't care or worse, wanted it

glad all of you liked it!!

I'm seeing this Saturday with my dad!!

He's in the arctic for probably 20-30 minutes. But from the moment he finds the suit to the moment he flies off and does his victory lap it's probably 5-10 minutes.

The flight is incredible. I love the hovering he does -- a fair amount of it throughout.

Just got back from seeing it. That was the greatest superhero film I've ever seen! :woot:

I told you all!! lol You all were freaking out for no reason. :D

The arctic sequence? I'd say it lasted a solid 25 minutes. He puts on the suit pretty early, like 40 minutes in I think.

And I guess, in the end, that's all that matters.

For the past several days I've watched the RT meter dive and it scared the crap out of me. But I couldn't be happier with the movie.

My personal single biggest complaint -- and this is totally not a big deal -- but they constantly call him "Kal" and I've always never really used that term, but rather called him "Kal-El". It seems odd to not have the "El".

Not gonna lie, before I saw it on Tuesday, I was a bit worried due to the RT score constantly dropping, but I had hope and well, the film lived up to my expectations and then some. :woot:

It does. It should always be Kal-El.

I wonder if Zod knowing of his birth might have something to do with it? It sort of implies that because he's a free child (from a genetics standpoint), Zod and co believe that he is not affiliated with the House of El. (at least as a scientist or something).

Hope you and your dad enjoy it! :woot:

I hope we will, too.

I told him today MOS has been getting mixed reviews from the critics and that I'm starting to doubt if I will like the movie.

He told me......hey, as long as it's better than the last Superman movie (SR)........lol

I really hope I can report back to you guys with a positive review of my own!!

Just got back from my Walmart screening after a late dinner. got to say. I flat out loved this movie. If some of you didn't, I feel bad for you. I will see it again bre I head back over seas. Wife and kids and I were discussing at dinner. Mos kicks SR in the junk and steals it's lunch money. Also we all agree that IM3 sucked compared to this. We had a great audience too! Cheers throughout the movie and applause and yelling/whistling at the end. Guess us Texas folk ain't hard to please. So for me I put mos in my top 3. behind BB but ahead of avengers/tdk. A great start to a franchise! Can't wait for more
