Looking back on MOS, the film really did establish Superman as a powerhouse and a force of good not to be reckoned with.
I sincerely hope that Goyer and Snyder don't allow their love for Batman to cloud their view on that and the importance of Superman in the new DC universe that they're trying to create. After having come off of a film where Superman defeated Zod and his kryptonian army on his own, if Batman were allowed to beat Superman in such an anticlimactic matter, they would have literally wasted 225 million dollars in having made MOS since everything that they did to build up Superman would have been for naught.
Now since I'm all about equality, I wouldn't want Batman to be shown losing either, or looking bad when put against Superman. But, IF Goyer and Snyder really crap on Superman like how Singer, Ratner, and Fox did on Cyclops in favor for Wolverine, I really hope that Goyer and Snyder are forever scrutinize for it the same way Joel is for having made Batman Forever and Batman & Robin and that those two are never allowed near an DC property again.
