I'm so ready.

It cracks me up every month I see WW in this

DC is just really weird.

How would everyone feel if the film doesn't rush Diana and Steve into a romance by the film's end?

I would be very happy about that. It would be really refreshing.

They're both locked into multiple films, with multiple appearances together, so I think there is room for the relationship to grow organically without it being shoe-horned into the standard superhero fare where the movie ends with their first kiss.

Alternatively, if they wanted to, I would be relatively happy to see Wonder Woman as being sexually assertive enough to act on her physical attraction to Steve half-way through the film, with the end of the film simply suggesting that it could lead to more than a one night stand. But, I don't know how the fans and/or audience would react to that.

I could reasonably foresee Themyscira as being a land that is free from any kind of judgement or shaming when it comes to sexual relations between consenting adults. And there would be no reason why Diana couldn't apply the same thinking in man's world.

This should of course be taken with a healthy dose of skepticism given the source, but someone on the IMDB board for the movie claiming some inside knowledge is saying it'll shoot in the UK, Rome and maybe Iceland. If that's correct, maybe they're only making limited use of sound stages in the UK.

Film productions get tax breaks for filming a certain amount of their films in the UK.

Iceland and Rome are only a 3 hour flight from London so it makes sense.

As Jonwo mentioned it is conceivable they would film at Cinecittà in Rome if they want Roman looking sets.

They're at least shooting in the UK. One of the casting directors, Lucinda Syson, is UK-based casting.

WB owns Leavesden, and I think they can accommodate both Fantastic Beasts as well as WW. They added three stages to Leavesden last year, so they can accommodate two films if they want to. (And they were able to keep Pan and Tarzan under the same roof too.)

Also... there's more studio space other than just Pinewood, Shepperton, and Leavesden. There's also Elstree Studios, Ealing, Twickenham, Black Hangar, et al.

I read Canada as a possible shooting spot on twitter. Toronto perhaps?

The Empire cover story on BvS confirms the prior Deadline story that Wonder Woman will start shooting this fall:

Logistically it is staggering. As Batman V Superman gains its coat of special effects, and the various stages of editing, scoring, grading and sound mixing are completed, Deborah Snyder, along with Roven, is watching over a sandbox that stretches around the world. Jenkins is in London prepping Wonder Woman, which will shoot there this autumn.

That'll clear the deck for Justice League to start shooting next spring. It shows a lot of confidence on WB's part how much they're moving forward before BvS is released.

Yes. I prefer them not to rush into them having a physical relationship in the film.

I would like to see the development of their relationship be fun, yet competitive at the same time much like how Pitt and Jolie were having fun, flirting and competing (even though they were already married) in the Mr. and Mrs. Smith film.

I don't even think they should kiss at the end of this film. They can come close to it though. Jenkins should make the audience want them to kiss at the end and tease it....but have it not happen.

The intimate realtionship and kissing can happen in JL:1 or in JL:2 IMO. :woot:

Good. Nice to see some news trickling in.

I'm really interested to see the rest of the casting, particularly the villain/s.

I'm more interesting in the Amazon casting. I wonder how far back they'll go into Amazon history. My hope is that the movie covers Hippolyta becoming queen.

I wonder if they will show stuff like the Amazons being enslaved, going to Themyscira, building it up. I wonder if they'll go with the Perez version like the Well of Souls, walking through the ocean to get to the island etc.

Having two more films in the can before seeing how BvS is received (it's going to do well box office wise) is a bold move. I'm happy about that because WB needs to be more bold than they have been. Fake it before you make it as they say.

Anyway, yes commence with the casting WB!

Elstree is mostly used for television productions now and Ealing is mostly used for small scale films. The tax breaks in the UK has meant the big three are booked up and so other places in the UK have been scouted and used, Captain America for example was shot in Liverpool and Manchester and Game of Thrones shoots in Belfast. Long Cross in Surrey was used for both Guardians of the Galaxy and Pan.

Cinecittà has seen a surge due to the Italian government offering tax break but it's still cool that WW will shoot there because of its history.

I like that costume as well. The boots aren't great though, I would get rid of the white stripe and make them a not quite thigh high but overall I dig the costume.

Remember that The Wrap said Steve would be her opposite, so I expect them to have some banter before actually starting the romance. Probably pretty close the way it was in the animated film.

Eh. Kinda Big Barda-ish. I don't see anything too bad about it, other than the simple fact that it deviates from what we're used to seeing her in.

That may turn out to be the case, but The Wrap's reference to "opposite" (as in "Chris Pine has closed a deal to play Steve Trevor opposite Gal Gadot") is just trade-speak for being a costar. It doesn't say anything about how the characters will relate to each other.

It certainly is. But, at least it indicates that they obviously have a lot of faith in their vision of the DC cinematic universe.

After all, there is going to be little opportunity to change "Wonder Woman" if, for some reason, the audience does not respond to the character of Wonder Woman in DoJ.

This new suit is awful. It's all over the place, specially the colors, and it covers too much unnecessary parts that detracts from her looking like Wonder Woman. What's even worse is the reason given for the change in story: "I was a girl, now I'm a woman" (not kidding or exaggerating, she really says that)

I did some changes that I think would improve a lot about it, mainly the colors. I would remove the left arm blade, but would take too much work. Also, the boots need to be shorter urgently.

The gold mixed with the silver plating is what throws it off. Either go silver all the way or gold all the way. Don't mix the two.

It is just a horrible costume! This is so overloaded and because of the colors it looks cheap. The red and white boots always bother me and now it looks even more tacky.
It's just a weak design overall.

This already looks so much better! I prefer silver over gold, because it looks more elegant. But like NoLaNitE007 said, mixing silver & gold doesn't work that well. Making it all silver and maybe replace/shrink the shoulder pads and we would have a pretty neat costume.
