What are you talking about?

1) He was part of the writing process

2) He was constantly on set during filming. Just some tweets from London during filming.

All of which are true, but. . . not the same thing as being the guy in charge. It was only recently that WB actually put him in the top seat as the creative director for everything, in place of Zach Snyder. Him being involved isn't what provides hope, its him being in charge instead of Snyder that gives hope. Or in the case of Wonder Woman, doesn't give much hope.

Wait what. When was Snyder in charge of everything?

Geoff wrote the script and was on set guiding the film but he isn't in charge. It may not have been known officially that his role had been upgraded but he has his hand in this film just as much as JL and the Batman movie. What are you talking about? Snyder has input because the stories need to match from Bvs to WW to JL. Not to mention that the film is being edited and will be advertised under his official control. Y'all really need to get over this line about Snyder. It is pitiful.

Never. Snyder worked by committe and from oversight from creative consultant Geoff John's. It's funny how people are so quick to trash Snyder and praise Geoff when he's been a part of BvS and other DCEU properties EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. Lol. Like, he himself approved of the serious tone of the films and is being just as reactionary as Snyder and WB has been. They're ALL expediting the characters to a less grim reality and nature, which I consider a shame because they were already headed there to begin with. People like fluff instead of substance. If superman smiles more that makes "MUH superman" right? Lol

Snyder did nothing wrong. People just love to trash the guy (who is a true comic fan btw) but they themselves can't even do a modicum of the great work that he has put in

If the movie turns out to be good, who will you give credit to Snyder ? Or Patty Jenkins ?

Going by your logic, since you are quick to blame Snyder, you will have to give him credit for the movie, if it turns out to be great.

Reviews will go something like this : Director Patty Jenkins manages masterfully to make a weak story by Zack Snyder work.

Either that or he won't be even mentioned if they praise the movie.

I'm actually looking forward to this one. The trailer was pretty awesome.

Not really, because you exclude a third possibility: that Snyder's influence is not enough to always ruin something. You can entirely have a case where the good and the bad come from different parties, and whether something ends up good or bad is determined by which party ends up managing to control the gestalt.

Or, no, I don't have to give credit to Snyder. A movie is made by more than one person.

Saw this on my LinkedIn feed. MPC will be doing the VFX for the movie:

Not a surprise considering they've also done the VFX for all DCEU movies so far.

It's a fantastic poster, that's for sure.

Hopefully CGI is better than the Incubus character in SS

I know this is the wrong thread, but boy how did they get the villain for a SS flick so wrong...

At least for WW, I'm pretty confident Danny Huston is our "War" :cwink:

Also curious if Ares (assuming villain) will send any magic enhanced minions of. Something to give Wonder Woman a little more challenge. So far those normal WW 1 soldiers don't seem like canon fodder for Wonder Woman to cut through.

There was a rumor/leak going around that the main villains were Dr Poison and Duke of Deception working for Ares. But I haven't found a source from the guy who made a video about the leak. I guess its a false alarm

Ehh. . . that's really not accurate. Wonder Woman was almost entirely done before BvS was released. It may be the first one released after Geoff Johns took over, but Geoff Johns was not the creative center for its actual production. The best he could do is enforce changes in the editing room, which is a mixed blessing.

The first movie done pretty much entirely under his auspice will be the Flash. Everything else finished filming before he came onboard.
Ummm...isn't JL still filming right now?

I don't think Snyder had much of anything to do with Wonder Woman, he wrote the logline and might've mentored Patty Jenkins on some technical stuff. Zack was busy prepping Justice League, and with all the staggering amount of work they're putting towards Batman he didn't have the time or the care to focus on Wonder Woman, frankly. Take a close, critical look at Wonder Woman, the design work is anywhere near as thorough, she's wearing the same dress...Batman is where all the effort's going
