That was a great trailer. I loved the emphasis on it being the War to end all Wars. It makes sense why Wonder Woman and potentially Ares would be interested in joining the fight.

I guess they didn't know about the sequel war :cwink:

Trailer was fantastic. Gal sounds and looks amazing. The action looks great too. Loving the cinematography.

the trailer was awesome, really looking forward to this film

lots of inspirational heroism in this story by the looks of it, don't know if that will shut up the haters though

You only have to go back a page or two in here and that thread called "MCU vs DCCU" which really should be called "**** DC and everyone who likes them" to know that haters will never shut up.

was never a fan of the Gadot casting and she seems average at best but dam does the action look great lets hope we don't have to wait for an ultimate cut to get the "real" movie :woot:

Visually the trailer is stunning and the action they've shown us was incredible. It's hard for me to get too excited but I've really liked what I've seen so far.

Oh i know, trust me. A third of the MCU movies are mediocre retreads of the same banal plot and they get near perfect RT scores while decent, albeit imperfect DC films get abysmal scores. I'm not even saying some of the critiques aren't valid (heck, I didn't like SS personally) but the double-standard is so blatant now its ridiculous.

The stupidity of it all is why I rarely visit the hype these days.

So, are the Amazons susceptible to bullets? Has that always been the case for WW? I'm not as familiar with her power set
Traditionally, WW was tough with respect to blunt force but susceptible to stabbing blows or projectiles. I.e., deflecting bullets with her bracelets wasn’t just for show - it was life or death. (The physics of this doesn’t necessarily make sense. But superhero science applies. :word:) I guess modern versions have WW essentially like Superman (with true flight and invulnerability). But the movie appears to be Golden Age-y.

Themyscira scenes all very Earthly much like Krypton in MOS:

The cinematography and palette were great to look at - not to mention Gal. :hmr:

But some of the CGI in the action shots looks a bit wonky, as there seemed to be an over-reliance on slow-mo. Gal's acting still needs work imo. I don't have any kind of attachment to this character, so overall I still don't know about this one. Not seeing anything that separates this from other CBM's quite yet.

I sure hope it is.

The MCU has never produced a movie as sloppy and ridiculous as SS. But by all means, go find another forum if this one isn't high enough atop the mountain for you.

Technically neither WW nor Superman are invulnerable. Each can be injured if hit hard enough. WW is damage resistant to bullets but more susceptible to them than Superman, who can just deflect them. That's why she wears armor and uses a shield, whereas Supes doesn't.

She's more vulnerable than Supes but also a much better fighter. So whereas Supes needs that extra durability, WW is much better at defending herself.

Nice non-sequitur.

Looks great but jesus, the amount of slow-mo action scene looks tedious as hell.

they should have had her breaking through a glass ceiling instead

amirite?

I just find it awesome of seeing her go from the island to riding the bat elevator with other heroes. That is geek nirvana, man.

Oh, Steve Trevor is dead. Bald bastah is dead.

i know Shade is just being sarcastic, but i honestly saw nothing wrong with Gal's acting in the trailer

her pained look encountering the wounded soldiers on the bridge was particularly effective
