Now she isn't 'acting well'? Seems all I read here are complaints.
Fantastic trailer. As long as it gets good reviews and buzz, this will do MCU-sized business next June.
I was disappointed not to see it with my showing of Doctor Strange.![]()
She wanted to know what Lex had, not retrieve a copy.I LOVED the second trailer.
Nice action. Hints at the major villains. COLOUR! Battles in DAYLIGHT! The LASSO! BRIGHT colours! Bullet deflecting BRACELETS! The power of FLIGHT or something close to it? And even a little humour with Etta Candy at the end.
I really hope that the photo has some relevance to a storyline in the modern day. It would help to explain why Diana was so keen to retrieve a digital copy in DoJ. Although, once again, I'm disappointed that Batman had to help Diana obtain both the digital copy and the original version - dammit Diana can do some stuff for herself without the Bat.
It doesn't have to be "big". The photo could just provide a hint to the location of some powerful relic that Diana needs to track down and destroy because it could be the key to reviving the WW1 villain or something. It would just be nice if Diana was motivation by something other than a 100 year old crush in DoJ. But, it's pretty minor and the chances of the photo having any kind of plot relevance other than justifying the "flashback" which will be 99% of the movie are slim.
Effects on the face looking better in the first one and I like the adjustments to the background in the second one
Flove the trailer! Yeah Gal sounds a bit wooden at parts but I love her anyway.
Only thing I would change is half the slow-mo shots, the first bullet/bracelet part was really bad/cheesy because of the slow-mo.
But hey! my wish was answered! I didn't see the stunt doubles face.
Well, I have mixed feelings on that trailer:
Good:
- Looks action-filled, which I always appreciate in a CBM
- Love the music that comes on when they showed the WW shield. Perfect WW theme.
- I liked the little bits shown with Pine. I know some don't like him, but I usually find him entertaining at the very least.
- Love that it's set in the past. Something fairly unique with these DC movies.
Bad:
- Some of the CG looked heavy/obviously fake
- Gadot. Still not sold on her and I'm losing hope that I ever will be. Always the same facial expression and tone of voice. She's not an obnoxiously bad actor, just boring.
seriously I think Jenkins "composed" the trailer herself, not by third party production house.
this trailer is a short film, with narrative themes, so accurately and succinctly done with key imagery.
paradise of Amazons V men's world for one.
"she's my secretary" and then we see Diana puts on her glasses-- the more fitting secretary look, in the Alley homage scene.
finally, the modern technology that's the bullet, killed Amazons --> Diana discovered that she could deflect bullets in the alley --> Wonder Woman matter of factly deflected one in the no man's land.
of course it's also a trailer...since we don't know why she didn't continue the superhero business, we need to see the movie to know.
this is a director's vision.
Or the people who edited the trailer are just really good.
At least we are getting a little comic relief from Ewen Bremner and Lucy Davis characters. That should please folks that found the other DCEU movies a little too sombe.
It's depressing that Gadot sounds so bad when she delivers her lines even in the trailer where they can pick and choose scenes to showcase the best, but other than that this trailer looked very good. Definitely the best trailer in the DCEU this far when accounting for using a tone that actually fits the character.
The visuals are nice and the supporting cast looks good. I still have to be cautious, since a bad actress in the lead is a big flaw, but everything else looks promising, and Jenkins is a good director, so they might very well pull off a great movie here.
