This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]529529[/split]
I hope that Victoria is going to review WW. This was her review of GotG Vol 2.
These are the critics that everyone is dying to hear from.
Well, someone leaked it early, so it was removed, but the Wrap published the first true tracking for Wonder Woman and it's huge.
First # is 105-115.
First tracking for BvS which did 166 million was 120-140 and first tracking for Suicide Squad which did 133, was 125. Man of Steel was tracking to 100 million a week before it opened to 116 (128 with the Walmart sneaks)
So yeah, this is likely to be a big winner for WB.

DC has brand recognition. All WB need to do is make sure they make decent movies and it's guaranteed to make money. Imagine if Marvel had these characters. Honestly believe we would have seen the 1st 2 billion dollar comic book movie.
We would have seen Batman saying he needs orange juice while fighting Superman, and the Joker revealed to be a British actor

Just think how much it would make it they actually marketed it

It will be a big winner if reviews are good. If not, it will suffer huge 2nd weekend drop (due to word of mouth), similarly to the last 3 DC films:
MoS - 65% drop.
BvS - 69% drop.
SS - 67% drop.
Either way, tickets have been booked for OW for a week already. If it's good, will most probably go see it again the 2nd weekend

Compared to :
CW - 74.1% drop
TA - 63% drop
AoU - 74.9% drop
See how unflattering numbers can be with no context ? Point is, these movies open with $200 to $400 million. Of course they won't make as much during their second week and for the rest of the theatrical run. Also, why didn't the good reviews and wom help "Batman Begins" for example ? Or "Mad Max : Fury Road" ?

SS had the massive second week drop, but it held on for quite a while afterwards. It had pretty surprising legs overall. (not relevant but still interesting)
If WW is halfway decent it will do just fine. If the budget is around where we all assume it is the movie is going to be quite the money maker.
Deadline has the tracking for Wondy at $65M. Probably a bit lower than some have hoped for, but Marvel managed to wrangle successful franchises out of Cap, Thor and Ant-Man with a similar OW return.
