I liked Ga lots in BvS and I hope she does a good job in the solo, but I will defend Campea here just a bit since I feel he is EVERYBODY's punching bag online for some reason (and honestly, with the recent Snyder situation I think we should all maybe reconsider the way we discuss figures in the entertainment world in such visceral and over the top and personal ways...).

Gal didn't have huge pedigree in acting before being cast. And what she was in, honestly while I don't think she gave any performance to disqualify her from the role of Wonder Woman, those performances were also not break out, runaway charismatic either. Add in a friendship with an actress that obviously wanted the part and I don't particularly begrudge him his assessment which I also think he's being honest about.

I think I am far from being known as some kind reflexive anti-DCEU guy around here and I have never been a hater of Gal's either. But it seems that some of the anti-Campea sentiment when it comes to Gal is getting to levels with which people attributed to Campea's take on Gal as Diana before he saw WW.

What I find strange is... I don't get the hate for Campea's opinion since watching him for years now my issue has never been that he's an obnoxiously opinionated online personality but that he's more often than not, way too even handed about stuff. I like when he lets loose with a strong opinion, even when I disagree with it.

I think people would lay off Campea if he hadnt let his personal friendship with Jamie Alexander totally blind him to the fact that Gal is not as bad as he thinks she is. He keeps doubling down which makes him look bad.

He went on a limb saying she wouldnt get the job, he body shamed her, ripped her acting and never admitted there was a chance he was wrong. It is a bad look for him.

I really don't understand all this anger. He is just a man with an opinion. Let him have his and you have yours. Also, when you throw hate at someone you naturally put them on the defensive and make them even less likely to change there mind.

Considering the anger when Sasha Perl Raver said she heard from a friend that Wonder Woman had problems and the mocking reaction her tweet got when she said she loved Wonder Woman some people will never be pleased.

I've seen Gal in Criminal. She was one of the best parts in the movie along with Costner. And that says a lot when there were other actors like Gary Oldman and Tommy Lee Jones in it. There's an innocence and charm about Gal that is really endearing. Makes you root for her regardless of her story.

Well if you put an opinion out there you are going to catch heat for it that is the nature of the beast. People just need to realize where the lines are...something the internet has definitely blurred.

People are allowed their opinions, but we are allowed to mock their opinions as well. Just dont go beyond that and I dont see any problem.

You my fellow DC Friends are makin me so excited for this movie! I loved Man of Steel Very Much and is the definition of a Superman Movie for me!! And to hear y'all describe it just as good and on par if even slightly better is AWESOME!! I remember watching that movie for the first time in IMAX and I was blown away and had chills seeing everything come to life that Zack did! The Superman Fanboy in me cried (and my wife thought it was cute to see man tears over my Hero) at the end titles sequence when MAN OF STEEL Popped up on black screen and his thunderous Theme pounding through the speakers!! CHILLS! I can't wait to experience that with Wonder Woman

Of course you are allowed to react to someone's opinion but there I've seen some of the reactions and a lot of them were very aggressive and of a personal nature. I think it's important to remember that they are just people and to a bit more cordial about it.

Seconded. At the end of the day these are just movies. No need for personal attacks. I have seen these things from DCEU fans on twitter and frankly it bothers me. They give the fandom a bad name. Why can't we simply just move on.
