Academy members saw #WonderWoman last night and it actually has some (very) early Oscar buzz

It would be amazing if WW could break into the best picture race. Imagine that.
Also on the subject of Patty Jenkins directing Justice League 2 instead of WW2, I think the
Peter Principle is relevant here:
The Peter principle is a concept in management theory formulated by Laurence J. Peter and published in 1969. It states that the selection of a candidate for a position is based on the candidate's performance in their current role, rather than on abilities relevant to the intended role.
In an organizational structure, assessing an employee's potential for a promotion is often based on their performance in the current job. This eventually results in their being promoted to their highest level of competence and potentially then to a role in which they are not competent, referred to as their "level of incompetence". The employee has no chance of further promotion, thus reaching their career's ceiling in an organization.

Now I'm not saying Patty Jenkins would definitely be "incompetent" in the role of JL2 director, but she may not be as good as she would be for WW2 director. I don't think "incompetence" always means complete incompetence, but rather that they're not as competent as they would be at the role they've excelled at, which often forms the basis of their promotion to the higher role.
It's a bit like Captain Kirk in the original Star Trek movies. From Star Trek the motion picture, he was promoted to Admiral. Now he was okay as an admiral, but where he really excelled was in the field as a captain of a starship, and that's where he longed to be instead of behind a desk at Starfleet. Every opportunity he got, he took it to command the Enterprise again. Finally, at the end of Star Trek IV: The Voyager Home, as a disciplinary action for disobeying Starfleet orders, he was demoted back to Captain, which was his dream all along.
Promoting Jenkins to JL2 might mean that she's a good director of a team movie, but not a great one, whereas for WW2 she would be a great director. Just because she works in one context as the director of WW (which is where her passion lies) doesn't mean she'll work as well for Justice League, which is not what she's as enthusiastic about.
Keep Jenkins of WW2 and don't put her on JL2. Otherwise we might only get a decent JL2 and maybe a decent WW2 instead of a really great WW2 in her hands, and perhaps a great JL2 in the hands of someone else.
