Just got out of seeing it again. Better the second time around. Went with a friend who does not care for CBM's and she loved it.
I keep forgetting to ask this and have been for years, but what is WW's day job? Clark is a reporter, Bruce is Bruce Wayne, what does she do for money and what not?
The promotional material for DoJ said that she was an antiquities dealer, which seems to align with her position at the Louvre in her solo film.
I choose to believe that it's a front for allowing her to track down and safely secure various magical and mythological items / artefacts which could be used for wrong doing if they fell into the wrong hands.
So whats the deal with the sword in BvS? It looks like the same one.
With her knowledge of language, I'd imagine she'd honor Steve and work as a spy herself to 1. retrieve more intel on conflicts, and 2. become more familiarized with man's world's different culture outside of London. This will have her continually working with Etta and Steve's band of merry men as well, so there's a familiarity for her there.
You know, I just realized how disappointed I am that it'll take so long to get more of the Trinity after JL. After Cyborg, Flash, and Aquaman, we've got a bunch of new characters–Shazam, Nightwing, Batgirl, the Sirens (Harley's been established, but not the others), Justice League Dark, and Black Adam–assuming all these movies actually end up happening. But that means we'll have to wait how long to see Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman again? Hopefully they make cameos in these other characters' movies. Because I was already a Bat/Supes fan, and this movie has definitely made me want to see WW as much as possible in the DCEU.
I don't think WB are going to want to wait until they get all these out of the way before doing WW again. They don't even know if the likes of Cyborg or Shazam etc are even going to be successful.
Why would they just gamble on some of these when WW would be more of surefire bet? Plus they'd know audiences would be hungry for more WW.
How many people are really wanting to see a Cyborg movie? They should just forget about that one.

Wonder Woman strangely felt nostalgic. Almost like I'm back to the days of watching Richard Donner's Superman on VHS when I was 5. Plot was nice and straightforward, but with a very clear message like that film. I also take back all of the doubts I had about Gadot, she was made for this role.
Well, it also felt like watching Raimi's Spider-Man, or some of Phase 1 of the MCU before there were tons of crossovers between each film. It was refreshing.
They need a Trinity movie with just those 3.You know, I just realized how disappointed I am that it'll take so long to get more of the Trinity after JL. A cool way to incorporate Batman into a sequel would be to adapt Greg Ruck's Hikiteia story. I'd love something like that.
Yeah, I liked the story, but that aspect definitely took me out of it. I was like, "this guy's supposed to be smart" lol.And it was funny how Bats thought he could physically take on Diana.
I liked it. Bats tried the same thing with Supes many times so it wasn't out of character.I honestly found that story to be a little underwhelming. And it was funny how Bats thought he could physically take on Diana.
That sounds cool - I like it!See, this would be a good set up for a sequel in present day with Felix Faust as one of the villains. Knowing that she works in the Louvre, he could coerce her into stealing various artefacts as a ransom for the Amazons, whom he has turned to stone, a la the Paradise Lost episode from Justice League.
Then there could be a whole set piece in the Louvre with her having to retrieve artefacts leading to a chase.
Or someone else could be trying to steal the same artefact, and she would have to fight them. Maybe someone like Cheetah?
The whole sequel could easily be an Indiana Jones type adventure with her having to track down other artefacts around the world and fighting off other villains who are after the same thing.

For some reason I can buy it much easier with Supes than with Diana. Maybe because she's got the age, experience and elite combat training to go along with all that power.
Why does WW have such revealing outfit? This makes it really hard for me to suspend disbelief. If they gave her some cool, warrior-like outfit/armor (like Lady Sif in MCU's Thor), WW could be really badass character, even though my opinion is that Gal Gadot wasn't a good casting choice... But super-short miniskirt, small chestplate, come on... It really takes me out of the story, it's like they are shoving in our faces: "look guys, hot girl, you are going to love this, go see it in a theater!!!"
She has armor on her calfs... cool, but how does it make sense to nut put it also on her thighs ... are her tighs bulletproof, but calfs are not? seriously, wtf. Do women cheering for wonder woman realise how much it undermines the message of strong independent woman... that needs to be almost naked in order to pander to male audiences.

I to this day will not understand why cast WW in BVS if they weren't going to mold that conflict into a Trinity one. (Maybe WW as the arbitrator). It was technically a Trinity movie, marketed as a Trinity movie, and at the same time not at all![]()
