I can see her getting a slightly longer skirt and more armor but that's it

Well helping the helpless is a patriotic ideal. It's a universal one too really.

No stars on the bottoms. The costume is perfect as is.

Helping the helpless is not a patriotic ideal, it is a universal one that has been around before the USA in some form. This movie was about human beings with no ties to any nation.

I think that when the initial Hype dies down that the film being solid will gain it's reknown despite it being very straight forward and formulaic. This had the same hurdles that the first Thor film had and similar to that film it exceeded in most areas which help it over come it's flaws. Like THOR1 you had to get the audience on board with the world of the character and their back story without bogging the proceedings down, the characters and the world had to be magical/fantastical but also relatable and finally for me, you had to be invested in the arc of the main character. They checked all the boxes. Now I would agree that the villains are problematic but the journey of Diana and Steve, the relationship developing so well and Diana's character being so well shaped by what we saw before and how they changed up the expectations with the final confrontation made up for the general and doctor not being as well rounded and handled better over all.

This film was much better than Thor 1

I like both Thor and WW pretty much the same tbh. Thor actually has some very good emotional moments, and it has the best acted scene in the MCU (Loki finding out he's a Frost Giant).

Question for those who have already seen the movie: Do you guys think it'll age well? I think as formulaic as this film was, it can stand the test of time. I see it getting better and better over time. I can't say the same about a lot of CBM's.

Yes, I think it will be remembered as an inspiring piece of pure escapism, much the same way that Superman: The Movie, Sam Raimi's first Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Batman Begins (although that is a little meatier) are. Just high benchmarks of the form, and in this case one that will inspire generations of young girls.

I haven't seen WW yet so I can't really compare but Thor 1 is actually a very decent flick. I like it. The humor was very well balanced throughout the movie. I also agree about the scene you mentioned. TBH, Loki pretty much overshadowed Thor in the movie even though I like Hemsworth in the titular role.

I liked it, but I think this is a much better movie.

There are some similarities in terms of the structure.

A first act anchored in the mythology, a fish-out-of-water second act, and then a finale in which the hero is empowered or re-empowered (in the case of Thor).

Having said that, I think all three acts are stronger in this movie. I prefer the scenes on Themyscira to the Frost Giant battle, for example. Act 2 of Thor takes place in a generic small town, and the high point is de-powered Thor's fist fight trying to get back the hammer. Act 2 in this film culminates in No Man's Land.

Some aspects of WW's act 3 are little jarring, at least on the initial viewing, but I thought that the finale was more resonant and impactful than Thor becoming worthy while confronting the Destroyer.

Thor 1 is basically a mediocre film saved by some very strong performances.

WW also has strong performances from the two leads, but the rest of the film is better overall, imho.

I'm spoiler-tagging some of the above, just to be careful.

It would be funny is Snyder decided to introduce feminists into JL and give us protest scene where females all over the world protest with signs "wanting more clothed armor cause this degrade womens" for Wonder Women. Similar to scene where people protest in front of parlament in BvS.

It would be realistic. Hell I would extra few dollars for that scene.

This was much better than Thor. Hemsworth's and Hiddleston's charismas saved that one.

Unlike WW, the supporting characters weren't that great, mainly Jane and Darcy.

If anything, just extend the top like they did with Hippolyta

With the success of WW's 1st movie, several things need to happen:

-Lynda Carter getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

-A long overdue solo animated series.

-A long overdue animated movie sequel.

-Reinstate WW as UN Ambassador.

WW should definitely be reinstated as a UN Ambassador. At the time when she was removed, people complained that she was just a sexist character and had certain preconceptions of her. They hadn't seen this movie yet. This movie may change their opinions and show her as a worthy role model.

All those who complained might wish they hadn't been so quick to jump the gun as she would've been great to have as a UN Ambassador.

They were upset it was a fictional character.

What is Diana's age? Her training from child to adult we saw in the movie; did she become an adult at a human rate? Reason i ask is because it was said by the film makers she was thousands of years old.

It'd be fun to see the second one translated to screen. Though I hate that people are changing Gal's eyes to be blue in manips.

they've clearly shown they have no reservations changing costumes regardless of how beloved they are as evidenced by how they altered the batsuit for JL and they've shown they're willing to go in bold, unconventional and risky directions as evidenced by the tactical suit so I could totally see them going the same route with WW and updating her suit making it somewhere along the lines as the ones in the picture. I'd be all for it

They forgot that there have been a lot of fictional characters that were ambassadors.
I don't know if this is true or not, but I also don't know if this has been a complaint in the past or not.
