I think they used two younger actresses playing Diana to show how long Antiope had been training her in secret. Had they used the same little girl and then had Hippolyta discover them, it may have looked like they'd only been training for a few days or weeks. It made sense to me and I thought both girls looked fine (if you compare a young photo of Gal to the girl who plays her as a child, there are similarties - there has been a comparison photo posted here at some point)

I suppose it wouldn't have seemed so "pointless" had they used teen Diana for a few more scenes... but I think she was only there to bridge the gap between girl and woman.

I get the intent and I myself think the intermediate girl does look like gal in pictures but in the actual movie she was way off to me

Saw WW yesterday...

Enjoyed it a lot. Gal definitely owns the role. She was fantastic. Pine was great as usual but it was good to see him play a damaged character with a hint of melancholy. They had a great chemistry together.

Visually it was stunning and I loved the action scenes. I loved the way Diana's powers grew along with her as a person. And the part at the end which I will call the "berserker of love" where she speed blitzes like in the comics was something I've been dying to see in a cbm. Got a hint of it with Faora in MoS.

But I do think the villains were weak. And overall the film itself didn't do anything too interesting or new. Although i can't really hold that against it. It was a strong origin story elevated by great performances.

Saw it tonight, the best CBM so far this year (Sorry Logan)

Gal exceeded expectations and beyond like wow, didn't expect Patty to pull that out of her, Bravo. Chris killed it as Steve and the banter between him and Diana was A+. Probably the best pair in the CBM movie world so far. Loved Steve's gang and they did their part, Etta was fine for the time she was there, I was afraid she was going to be too hammy. The villains were underused but serviceable and i DID NOT have a problem with the 3rd act. Maybe because the emotion carried it more than the action but yeah i enjoyed it.

[BLACKOUT]Ares[/BLACKOUT] sounded like Schwarzenegger when Diana [BLACKOUT]started pummeling the soldiers in her rage.[/BLACKOUT]

Saw it yesterday and it was average, just didn't like it .

What are these motion capture dots for? Why were they tracking this woman's face? Were they going to alter it somehow?

That's Diana's costume, no? Therefore, this woman is Gadot's stunt double?... with face to be replaced later?

Who is Gal's stunt double? What's her name and has she always been her double even for BvS? Is there a pic of the two of them together?

Agreed! This is a overall better movie than Logan!! Sorry just what I believe too because it has Heart and Actual Chemistry between leads! This movie doesn't leave you depressed having to find kind of feeling of a good movie! Sorry again but constantly screaming at each other and Diceing together is NOT chemistry!! Wonder Woman also had a better coming into her own than X23 plus she sold her heartbreak way better! Also Villians were more fun to watch and Trevor was more fun than Logan! Also it didn't need to be Rated R for it to have a good movie and Netither did The Dark Knight! Also before someone says "well Logan is a bloody character" week than I ask you which Logan is that? Graphic Novel Logan or Old school X Men Comics Yellow Jumpsuit Logan

I don't know how you can compare WW and Logan in any way.

You can't cause their different movies! But you can compare the experiences! And Overall merit of them! Both Fantastic but if you polled a group 2 months from now and asked which movie did you think you liked better and would love to watch over and over again! I would love to see that poll

I love both I feel more emotionally invested in Diana's journey. That being said both are amazing films. CBMs have just been great across the board this year.

I hated GotG vol 1 but enjoyed vol 2.

Her time has come. A tribute to the Amazing Amazon, the original warrior princess, the one and only Wonder Woman, from animation, live action TV and now movies:

Well I certainly hope so. Patty deserves the best treatment after this.

WB really has no choice but to offer Patty the Moon and Patty knows it. She is just negotiating something gargantuan behind the scene, probably something like a multiple picture deal which includes a WW trilogy and movies outside DCEU as well.

Her name is Caitlin Dechelle and she was not involved in BvS.

Diana’s unwillingness to allow men to restrain her is tremendously inspiring, a persistence that we could all use a dose of in 2017, when women’s rights are being threatened in ways both insidious and overt. But I’m more moved by her grace and compassion in those moments, how slow she is to anger when she’d have every right to be enraged that these weak mortals think they can tell her what to do. But Diana isn’t interested in anger. She’s too focused on fighting for what’s right and saving those who need saved.

Anger can be a useful tool, but for the past few months, it hasn’t been useful for me. It’s stifled me, paralyzed me, kept me glaring at headlines and furiously tearing up at tweets instead of doing anything. I’m tired of being told to stay put, but I’m also tired of being so angry. And the vision that I’m cherishing in my heart and holding up as a reminder whenever I need it is of Diana, Princess of Themyscira, punching her way up the wall of a building she was told she could not enter, smiling with glee as she recognizes her own strength, as she understands that no one can tell her what not to do and where not to go ever again.

Zack Snyder :

“She offers a unique opportunity to speak to what it is to be a strong, powerful, independent woman. It’s a glance that is necessary in the world, as well as the way that we represent heroes onscreen. Having that equal representation of male and female energy is really important to me. I love that there’s a purity to Wonder Woman. She doesn’t have the broken past, she’s not seeking revenge on people that wronged her. She can just be a hero.”

Patty Jenkins :

I feel like one of the most ironically sexist things that happened to women heroes for so long was that they had universal storytelling taken away from them. So, male superheroes could have Lois Lane. They can have love, they can have vulnerability, they can have complexity. But women superheroes or strong women characters had to be, ‘I don’t need anyone, I’m the toughest person in the world.’ That’s not fair to anybody. No human being is an island like that.

Zack Snyder :

Early on we talked about whether or not we would bring him into the story. Steve is so deep in the mythology that after some debate we found that just like Wonder Woman needs Steve, we needed Steve too. We need to be able to look at Wonder Woman through the eyes of the audience. And it’s interesting that those eyes be Steve’s, in that he almost represents the status quo. He also has to be changed by Wonder Woman. He has to see the world through her eyes and then he had to become a hero in his own way, inspired by her.

So....anyone keep tabs about what happened to the guy who got a ticket to go to the All female Wonder Woman screening?

He's suing. Which, whatever. That means it could (unlikely) go all the way to supreme Court which means no all men's golf club, no Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts, no All Men or All Women schools, no men or women sports teams... But that is the opposite of what that dude wants.
