I really need to try out this "Invincible" comic...
You will enjoy it... I describe the book as "Stan Lee Spider-Man" mixed with "21st century grit"... it's what comics are all about.
There's was an issue of the recent Marvel Team-Up (number 14) where Spidey teams up with Spider-Man. It's all to do with a villain in the Invincible Universe that can hop dimensions (hence, why they end up in the Marvel Universe), and that comic sets off an upcoming arc in Invincible's comic (or it did at the time...)
With Invincible and Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman arguably writes the two top comics in the industry.
You'll love it.
Even the comic relief has some pay off.
Minor Spoiler
Mark Grayson (the main character) is a character developing into superman level hero. Issue one starts off with him discovering his powers, when he goes to throw out the garbage at his job at a burger place. He throws the bag INCREDIBLY far. About 20 issues later we find out where the bag landed.
I loved that scene when it happened... great nod to continuity at a time when continuity was not used in comics very much (circa 2004).
