The Boys Amazon's The Boys General Discussion Thread

After watching episode 6 I'm doubling down with my prediction that A-Train is a goner before the season is done. Him saving MM seals it for me.

This season is becoming quite a struggle to watch i have to admit. The boys themselves feel so disjointed at times. Hypersexualised scenes for shock value and weird plans not making sense. The seven have the best development at present but thats not saying much. Sister Sage is pretty much MVP. The writing/plot throughout this season has been some of the worse in the series. The fact that Kripke thought Hughie's sexual assault trauma was " hilarious " actually pissed me off.

Yeah, while I wouldn't call it bad this has easily been the weakest season so far. I don't even think the last two episodes can really turn it around either.

I'm hoping it will get better with a rewatch after the season is done so no breaks inbetween episodes.

Now that you mention it, this is the first time I've had the thought, "This would be better viewed as a binge" while watching The Boys.

I binged last season just before this one started and I enjoyed it more than when it aired and I had to wait. :)

When he came in
I am sure Sage must have been able to hear some things. She was brain damaged but still probably saw something.

I enjoyed episode 7 and thought it was a significant bounce back from the last episode. I'm also sick and tired of The Deep and want him gone. :o

I thought Deep was a gonner in that big fight, the way Starlight was pounding on him and had her hands in his gills. I was worried for Kimiko too. :( She's my favorite.

He SHOULD have been gone during this episode. The excuse given not to kill him during that fight was utter shullbit lol. All she had to do was keep pounding his head with the weight. It's not like he can grow it back like Kimiko...

I thought she was going to die since she gave the back story and connected with Frenchie again. They need her in any fight though.

Should have died there was nothing to gain keeping him alive. A-Train fully exposed after as the leak. I am sure he will return and they finish the fight, A-Train has to get killed but put up a fight against someone.

did anybody else get flashbacks to Paul Ruben's death scene in the Buffy movie or was it just me :funny:
