The director true ending is that bateman did in fact kill all those people the screenwriter also said that.I though I heard in a interview that the director had regreted that she did not make it more clear.
It might of been I did not hear all of commentary other then a couple parts of the movies (mainly the end)I Also like how bateman somewhat lose with how he wants to get caught but won't it works even more knowing that bateman hates his yuppie lifestyle and is now still stuck in that world.
I also thought that was in the director's commentary but maybe not. I though it was good that Bateman was so unaware because it was almost a punishment for his character to get away with it so clean. He wanted to be known or caught (which is supposedly how serial killers feel) and he couldn't .
i didnt know that in 2010 its still popular to complain about Bale.
Considering all the praise he got for YEARS he was bound to get some backlash sooner or later. Although to be fair, he was awesome as Patrick Bateman. No one can ever take that away from him.
But after his performance in Terminator Salvation he had it coming.![]()
As much as I don't like Devin Farchi of chud.com, he did make an interesting comment about Bale: He's not a movie star, he's an actor.
Meaning that he's better at playing eccentric or conflicted characters in smaller than playing the straight man in a big blockbuster or whatever. I kinda..kinda agree. Though I think he did a good job as Batman, voice and all.
