BvS Amy Adams IS Lois Lane - Part 3

When has she been portrayed shallow in the last 30 years of comics? People seems to think silver age Lois is definitive when most of all what she wanted to do was marry Supes. Lois certainly was not when they were together and married.

Lois has always been portrayed as shallow and spiteful especially since the Byrne reboot. In the silver age Clark acted like a meek, weak, cowardly individual when using his daily planet CK persona so one couldn't really blame lois for not giving him a second thought but in the Byrne reboot, CK was mannered by certainly not mild, he was confident, witty and every bit as good as Lois in his job yet lois still treated him like rubbish, which was later explained to be to due to jealousy.

Lois always fell for the true identically the Silver Age treated Superman as the true persona and Clark as the disguise. It's why she wasn't going to fall for Clark the Byrne reboot changed it.

They soon got together after the Byrne reboot anyway. What Lois and Clark were married 15 years prior to the 2011 reboot and were a couple before that for about 7 years. Byrene's reboot was 1986 after Crisis on Infinite Earth's. So I mean if you think she treated Clark the same well of course she would she was in on the secret and didn't want folks to put Clark and Superman together so she treated them diffretly in public.

So when was she shallow after Post Crisis? I love Erica Durance's Lois like you she and Teri Hatcher and Amy Adams are all based on guess what post crisis Lois Lane's.

Byrne's reboot was in 86 and lois only started getting close to at around 1991 and she found out his secret in 1992, but for the first 4-5 yrs she really mistreated Clark, acting spiteful and jealous because Clark beat her to the punch and scored the first ever interview with superman.

Terri Hatcher's lois was based on the post crisis lois as was Durance's lois to a lesser degree but Amy's lois was quite different in many respects. The lois in MOS was a feisty go getter like most of the past incarnations of lois but she had the huge added benefit of knowing Clark's secret. The whole love triangle thing has always been a cute aspect of the superman mythos but it really hasn't done lois any favors and I for one was glad that they did away with it.
Durance's lois always cared about clark and she only teased him in a loving manner. And again as with MOS, Smallville did a clever thing by creating romantic tension without making lois look like a fool.

After seeing this pic I'm hoping Amy dies her hair for this film. She looks so much more like Lois as a brunette.

WOW. She looks so good with that hair color. And I'm not saying this just because it looks more like Lois; she genuinely looks better as a brunette in my opinion.

The bolded is why I think MANY people dislike the character of Lois Lane. It seems shallow she can't see past a pair of glasses, but I have always likened it to one who is blinded by love. You really only see what you want to see. Plus, a lot of writers didn't do her any favors when it came to that aspect. The on-going attempt to keep her in the dark when over the years it should have been patently obvious didn't do her any favors. That's one reason why I am glad MOS completely scrapped that.

Teri Hatcher's Lois was in love with Clark Kent from the first episode, but she lusted for superman.

Aa for "seeing past the glasses", if you're willing to believe a man can fly ...

When you think of Lois Lane, you think of Teri Hatcher, Erica Durance, and Amy Adams.

Speak for yourself, I only think of Dana Delany. :p

....and maybe Teri Hatcher and Amy Adams for live action. Erica Durance was forgettable.

Yeah, Delany's take on Lois in STAS was great. She even had the right looks (during her twenty and thirty-something years) to portray the character in live-action form.

Actually, I don't think of any of them. I think of this Lois:

I always envision a comic Lois Lane whenever I think about her.

^^
That's from Superman: For Tomorrow by Brian Azzarello.

^^Thanks for posting the rest of that, Fallen.

*pulls out FT trade and begins to read again* That title is very underrated

I wouldn't mind seeing Henry and Amy's Clois recreate this.
Hehee...I hope they recreate something like this...because it's some of the Best Clois out there. :woot:
^^

Neill I believe was a red head and she's had reddish hair through various ages. A red head Lois is not new.

Honestly, considering on how we lack a comic book pairing on a live action portrayal that have been prevented from tying the knot, despite marriage between them being a canon thing, I really hope that when all is said and done that Amy's Lois and Henry's Clark are allowed to get married.

No loose ends please.

And I don't buy into the whole, when a couple finally get together then they lose the appeal that they once had when they were both still in the chase for each other.

I know many real life couples where they are more interesting post marriage than pre-marriage and all you need is a great writer to portray a married Superman and Lois Lane properly on the big screen.

Hell, truth be told, MOS is the first time where a Superman film has ended with Clark and Lois being on a good note with each other from a romantic point of view.

Previous films either left their future with each other uncertain or on a downer, where it was established that Superman can't be with Lois because of some dumb reason.

I'm hoping BvS starts with how MoS ended. Clark happy and with a developed relationship with Lois.
