BvS Amy Adams IS Lois Lane - Part 7

Not exactly new to the people who visit this thread Terry. I posted the entire feature last month.

Just saw it in the store today, that's all. And damn it, we'll see it 5 more times if I have anything to say about it. :argh:

Oh Amy:ilv:

she gives life to these interviews :hehe:

I loved BvS. I liked the characterizations of the trinity. I also liked Lois a lot. She doesn't have powers but in my opinion she doesn't need them to stand on her own. I loved that she was trying to find the truth in what occurred in Africa and found out Lex was behind everything before everyone else did. I did get a bit annoyed in my second viewing with one person siting next to me in the theater when Lois threw the spear into the water and when she retrieved it. They made a comment on why she had to throw it in the water (she threw it in the water so that Lex/anyone could not get a hold of it and hurt Clark) and when she retrieved it, how she knew they needed the spear (she saw that a nuclear bomb and two Godlike people could not hurt it, and you saw her tilt her head down and realize that perhaps the weapon that could hurt Superman could also hurt Doomsday). Anyway, I hope she has a reasonable amount of screen time in JL 1 & 2 and is not like Gwyneth Paltrow's character in the Avengers were she only appeared for two scenes.

Second viewing today and I really liked Lois a lot more this time. I noticed how well she emotes through the film and especially towards the end of the movie, all the tears and love just flowing from her but ever so gracefully.

She really does bring a lot to each scene she's in. She has redefined how I see Lois Lane as a character and really owns it.

You know what's funny?

I've never been the biggest fan of the Lois Lane character in the comics or in the other Superman movies (and god I hated her in SR) and TV shows (though she was okay in the cartoons). And I am one of those disappointed in BvS and one of those who really did not like MoS (even though I tried, multiple times).

But Amy Adams made me love Lois Lane in both movies. Screw the hair color. She really is the best Lois by far. Definitive, even...

The Conan show is really the gift that kept on giving, it was hilarious.

I'd really like to see Amy and Ben work together on another project.

I loved Amy, I loved Lois, I liked her and Clark's dynamic (with one big exception). I thought that there was some questionable writing choices with her character (and most of them for that matter) and some logic flaws. Oh and if there isn't:

A Super-wedding after that thing with the ring, and all of the crap that Snyder has put them through over TWO films now.

Then I'm going to be annoyed.

Me too. They have great chemistry on this press tour.:ilv::sly:

They do! But I think Amy just has great chemistry with everyone and everything - Henry, Gal, Ben...a chair, a carpet, a wall...:woot:

See you there too.

By the way Fallen, I think I missed your score for BvS. What was it?

Nice, we're basically on the same page.

Personally, I wish they could have Lois save herself just once. On Smallville, while Clark often saved her, she always put up a good fight and almost gets out of whatever danger shes in, but then Clark normally helps her. It'd be nice to see Lois take some guys down in physical combat, or for Superman to be aware Lois needs help but she gets herself out of it anyway like defusing a bomb or something and when he finds her all they do is fly away after.

Because in BvS I found her a little D in D. At least in comparison to Supes/Bats/Wondy and Lois has always been just as strong and competent as those three, but just on a more human level.

Saw it the 4th time. Finally notice she has put the ring on... tears... so sad.... Their scenes together might be just a few.... but very powerful. Clois has never been this good...

Ya. I wish Lois had pick up a brick n smash it on the batman brain n scold batman a bit before saying Martha is his mother name.

I wonder if Batman will be the best man.

"Okay Bruce, I'm ready for my bachelor party! You're a billionaire, you've got a yacht, a fleet of sportscars and a mansion, I'm totally up for whatever you've got planned."

"I thought we could examine some photos I have of recent gunshot victims, and then when night comes, we can stare contemplatively out of this large window into the darkness and quietly rail at the inherent injustice that plagues the world."

"Uh, yeah. That sounds ... great. Thanks bro."

Hmm interesting.. Henry bought comics when he was in N.Y for research, he bought Superman V Darkseid, trinity, Superman for tomorrow, and Lois and Clark wedding album :ilv:

For Tomorrow is so good and one of my favourite Superman story's. And guess what, he hardly smiles in it either :cwink:.
