This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]351225[/split]
Or they'll have a traditional movie with Superman and Lois the same age and in, or almost in, a relationship. Because, you know, there's no indication otherwise. What's great is now the comics will align much closer with "The Man of Steel" movie, having a younger Superman not in a relationship with Lois.
I wonder if they'll do something out of the box and pair her up with Lex.

How is that 'out of the box'? They did it in LnC...
Not that I'd object to it as an idea, I always thought in brought in an interesting dynamic of 'competition' between Lex and Superman.
the last thing that some would want to see is for Superman and Lex's epic rivalry and competition against each other to be about Lois or any romantic interest. It's one of things that SV has been criticized about, in the usage of Lana.
Imho, a great rivalry and antagonistic relationship like that should NEVER be about a love interest.
Like I said, looks like they're trying to undo the damage of the 1990s when they intentionally tried to make the comics appeal more to women through this marriage.Everyones in agreement that the marriage and the emphasis on soap opera no longer seems to be working as well in the current market as it once did," the proposal stated.
You about this video?

The article doesn't say they're "not in a relationship" as you stated. It merely states they won't be married, which is obvious if they're doing an origin story. Snyder talked about their love interest in an interview. This is a class Lois/Clark storyline.Hopefulsuicide and Herolee, I think you should take a look at the MSNBC article from the previous thread, that's what I was commenting on:

Lois Lane has gotten new attention in "Flashpoint," being given her own series, "Lois Lane and the Resistance." In the three-issue story, Lois Lane is single. She's never met Superman, and she never reported about his existence.
We all know that Flashpoint is a showcase of things to come, even if they give an elseworlds spin to things and take them a bit too far. I think FP Lois has a lot of potential and its highly likely we'll see her, at least in comics.http://www.newsarama.com/comics/dcnu-is-supermans-marriage-ending-110607-1.html
Seven Reasons why new DCU Superman will be single.
Number 5: Flashpoint Lois Lane
Lois Lane has gotten new attention in "Flashpoint," being given her own series, "Lois Lane and the Resistance."
In the three-issue story, Lois Lane is single. She's never met Superman, and she never reported about his existence.
"Lois is exactly the character we know and love, except just remove from her equation the fact that she's ever met Superman," said Dan Abnett, co-writer of the "Flashpoint" tie-in series with his collaborator, Andy Lanning. "She's the spunky, snarky reporter she always was, who hasn't necessarily had the breaks she's had in the DC [Universe], because she never got that star scoop story of Superman."
The story centers on Lois as a reporter who becomes stuck in the middle of a war zone, and she eventually gets caught up in the local resistance movement.
The end of the main "Flashpoint" series, which will be released on Aug. 31, is supposed to be the precursor for the big changes DC is making in September. But it's the tie-in story of single reporter Lois Lane that opens the door for the character to be single even longer.
....the movie. Your original statement related to them not being in a relationship in the movie.Article mentions Lois Lane is single during her new comic storyline and this was done to give Superman other love interests.
So yes, they aren't in a relationship in the new comics.
